I start really liking these Schecters
Im thinking of treating myself to another guitar and can't decide.
I had a look at Schecters myself and quite fancy one of these..
I have the Schecter Sun Valley in seafoam green with EMG's. It was my first Dinky body which I absolutely love to hold. Dinkys are the perfect size and no large heel. I don't have a Tele yet so I have my eye on the G&L Tribute Asat for Xmas.

Well, this is my third Schecter and I must admit I'm absolutely happy. Please consider that I'm not into heavy music, but these instruments are soo good and versatile that is hard to put them down.
I had an opportunity, so I custom ordered matching G&L ASAT Classic S & S-500.
Now I start gassing for a Solo II Custom....the transparent black quilted top is a dream....
just added this used Fender Troublemaker to the clan, sounded great last Friday.
Picked this up yesterday...
nice, I have a lefty just like it😊
Went guitar hunting on Saturday. Test drove a Phil Collen PC1....disappointing considering it was £3k plus! Also tried a schecter C6 pro aurora burst, which was quite nice, but something missing.
The most surprising was a fender strat with a Floyd and humbuckers - they weren't sure what the model was but turned out to be a limited run. Played very well, but it was very dull looking and expensive (£1600) for what it was (in my mind).
So still looking...
My ideal next guitar is
1) Floyd equipped/metal guitar with HH config
2) Nice top, ideally quilted maple or burl top
3) Nice colour - purple is my fav
4) not crazy expensive - £1500 Max
Looks like I might try to find a Charvel DK24 Purple Phaze....any other suggestions?

A LTD Deluxe with FR but you might already have one? Have you searched second hand market? I have only purchased a new guitar the last 20 years and all I purchased second hand have been in mint condition and saved alot of money.

Ohh not had a look at any LTD's, thanks for the suggestion.
In 90% of cases I'm looking second hand. Charvel Purple Phazes are not available anymore so will need to be secondhand..

Charvel all the way! I have not had a better feeling and playing guitar. I do prefer the 24fret Dinky bodies for shredding. It's the most comfortable in terms of size, ease to higher frets, and no heal to grab over. A good second choice is the Schecter Sun Valleys.

Yeah I like the DK24's..
The Schecter Sun valleys are a good second option - just looking at them now...nice.
PRS Dustie Waring?
Or a Custom 24 Floyd
Yeah I like the DK24's..

The only real difference neck-wise is Charvel has rolled fingerboard edges. Both backs are slick as sh..!
