Same here and it still feels really good
Neural Quad Cortex

The Anderton's video is interesting. As the "captain" says ...the sounds are "very tight"..
I heard this tightness in all videos about the QC yet.

Competition is good.

Looks good, do you know if sounds from plugins (Plini,Abasi etc) are intagrated in this ? (should be I think)

If you own the software, they can be ported to the Quad Cortex (or so the company says), but they are not built in.

Of course opinions are highly swayed by the person programming and demoing the unit. However, in all the clips I am disappointed by the top end on distorted tones and there is a cheapness to the sound.
The plugins are a lot more convincing in tone, so they need to port them over.

Talking about realism and if the Neural Quad Cortex can profile an exact tube amp sound like my Kempers...
If you know and love Thomas Blug watch this:

We have provided more information on this in our privacy policy.I was so focused on the Neural Cortex and the digital world that I forgot that there still is a real world with analog sound amplification that also progresses steadily. Being an owner of the Amp1 mercury myself I must say I am more excited by this announcement than with Neural's new unit....

The BulGuitar Iridium really intrigues me a lot.

Ok thanks, it becomes very pricy if you want those sounds !!

Looks great but I would very hesitant to take anything on the road that uses a wall wart. Opportunity missed there by not having an IEC connector on the back.
That was my first thought also. And my second thought was "venue toilet --> shoes --> footswitch --> fingers" (e. g. to adapt the volume). Using the food switches to control settings might sound clever, but not if you use the unit live.

Well, the plugins have been tested by plenty of experienced guitarists on YouTube, giving a wider impression of what's tonally possible with them -- never mind being created via collaborating with particular artists that also have substantial audiences. Main cab/mic sounds are probably also highly influenced by such collabs; and then there's also a substantial chunk of guitarists after tones illustrated in videos even when somewhat faithful to the artist's tones, whether a user gets close using the plugin or not.
My point is: I do not know yet where the plugins stand against the Cortex tones -- even considering amp sims alone, for me.

Well, I'd wonder if you can just "capture" the plugin tones you want into the cortex -- that is, as snapshots, using their capture function.

Which is something people have been doing on the Kemper side. I've also profiled some neural plugin -- just not too happy with the results compared to the plugins themselves, but that's a different story.

I see there are some neural profiles in the rig exchange, I will try it.
Can you describe why you were not happy with your profiles ?

For some publications, you pay for these awards, but in my time working with Music Radar I don't think they do that.
MementoMori really? which ones?

MementoMori really? which ones?
The majority of ones I've had to work with over the past 3 years. I don't feel obligated to just outright name them unless they specifically come up and it's worth scrutinizing. It's certainly nothing rare in marketing or a big secret.

Maybe i'm the only one but i can't deal with the touchscreen. I don't want to sit there and handle this thing like a tablet or a cellphone, i'm really happy about the real knobs and buttons on the Kemper!

I would hate to walk thru some of the bathrooms In places Ive played,, then go to the unit and grab a foots swtich to tweak,,,, after walking thru,,,,,,,, the bathroom???? and stepping on it,,,,, YUCK!!!!!! no way,,,,,,,,

Footswitches for a control surface. That's the best idea for getting pinkeye that I have seen yet.

The solution is dedicated stage/performance shoes.
