when I set the mix to 0% on the green scream, the sound should be the same as without the stomp right? but it isn't..it's slightly louder and more distorted with the stomp turned OFF !! makes it difficult to use the mixparameter for morphing the stomp on/off

@Eltzejupp Ok, the panning thing is a bit exotic. But I already have a use for morphing that greatly simplifies and enhances what I currently do, and I can imagine people doing a lot of subtle things with an expression pedal.
+1 I agree . Looking forward to crazy rigs on RE. I am a tweaker too, so i will spent time with it, hoping to find practicable and awesome sounding things in my toy

Addendum:The Cabinet parameter "Volume" has been moved to the Amp Module.
This makes me hope that the need the place for the new pure cab per rig button in the cab section!!!!!
But when i change to the amp, normaly i found the amp volume on page 3/3 to give the amp more output. I see that nothing changed from page 1 to 3 in the amp section. So volume on page 3 means that this is the old cab volume? If it is, where is the old amp volume?[Blocked Image: http://s18.postimg.org/x7vlqci3t/cab1.jpg]
I was about to ask that since I haven't found anything in docs. So there is no CABINET volume now.
-
Does it have crystals/shimmer yet? or is that coming in 5?
Also I saw changed: Pure Cabinet activated at level 3.0 by default
Originally the setting was 0 yes? Is this going to change the sound of existing profiles? -

changed: parameter Volume completely migrated from Cabinet into Amplifier Module

This is exactely what i have written. Read addendum Page 10!

My Tuner does not mute the signal anymore... I checked all settings, but no mute at all... Does anyone has the same poblem?

I found it. But how it was moved? It was removed. In amp section there is only AMP VOLUME on page 3/3.

This!
Where is the cab volume? -
No cab volume needed when there is Amp volume. Also makes much more sense

In 4.0 Addendum pdf there is stated:
- Every single continuous parameter of a Rig can be morphed. This includes all continuous parameters of stomps, amplifier, cabinet, and effects.
&
- Cabinet parameters cannot be morphed as this might cause artefacts
I have tried to morph cab parameters, but with no success, so it looks like there is mistake in manual. -

Yes, a bit annoying. With the mix dialed down the level passing is now dependant on the Clean Sense setting. I'm guessing it gets better when your CS is raised? However, to make them identical, the general clean sound level becomes too loud compared to distorted...

A (hopefully) simple question:
Is there a way to just assign the Remote buttons to morph between 2 defined rig states & not the expression pedal (i.e. expression pedal is just used for volume / wha as before) ...
If yes, how do I assign just the rig button to morph & not the exp pedal.
Cheers,

So with the new factory contend we have a reverb called spring!
-
Can you program the tuner and/or looper button on remote to have a different function yet?
Yes, you can.

Pressing the rig buttons toggle between the two Morphing states where you can alter any parameter you See fit.
No pedal needed. -

a local reverb perset called 'Spring' that is based on the Matchbox algorithm was introduced to the factory content a (long) while ago. No new reverb algorithms in 4.0

yepp, you're right..but I have to turn CS up to +5 to match the level...hope they can fix this
-
I hooked up my expressionpedal to the back of the kemper to use for morphing and found that the volume was set to -5...seems I have to change it to 0 and store on every single rig....is this right? luckily I only have about 150 rigs but still... is there a way to globally change this?
-
I think pros who use the kpa will go crazy if an update changes sounds of older rigs. Retweaking is a no go.
Yep, who would be so crazy to release FW for a music-related device that changes your sound at any new version?
If it is so, i dont really understand the sence behind it
Well... Tons of possibility, really. You have already had the possibility to read about some of them in this very thread.
if i use a clean sound, i use a different pick up because most of the clean sounds are not sounding good with a humbucker, so i use the splitted coils. But when you hear a high gain sound over splitted coils it sounds thin and lack of power. So i have to morph and change the pu position when i morph. uuuuuh complicated in a live situation. I am with Harry, nice to explore but for live use?
But you can morph Definition and Clarity at the same time... ;D
I see that nothing changed from page 1 to 3 in the amp section. So volume on page 3 means that this is the old cab volume? If it is, where is the old amp volume?
The Cab volume and the Amp volume were the same control. There was no difference in using either one or the other, despite what many stated in the years
I have to turn CS up to +5 to match the level...hope they can fix this
Have you tried lowering DS?
