Just a little FYI for everyone! It doesn't matter how many connections you check in your rack, if you plug your guitar into the headphone socket, you don't get a signal!
I'm such a bloody numpty sometimes!

We may have all done it at one time or another.
Confirmed!
Ha ha, been there done that!

Maybe its time to start an faq
No signal:
guitar plugged in the headphone socket?
guitar cable plugged into the guitar?
Battery of an active system down?
guitar plugged into another amp?
Do you have a guitar?
Strings on guitar?
I still have to after 20 years of gigging lift up my left or right hand to check which is which when I'm linking the PA speakers up!
i really shouldn't be allowed out on my own!

Me 3
Me as well.
Yeah done it once haha
Maybe we should introduce a symbol under the Avatar that indicates if you are a true Kemperanian (plugged your guitar into the headphone jack at least once).
3 shows and counting where this has been the main start up problem. Mama raised a fool, apparently lol

me too.. "only" once! but it´s enough..
Only once here too, but it was when I demoed the unit to a chicky-babe... the only chicky-babe who ever showed any interest in my gear.
That went well. Not!
WHAT the hell is wrong with you people!... seriously.. - I'd never do a thing like that.. I do things like, ya know.. Spending 2 hours in the middle of a recording session with a well know celeb at the time...when his guitar channel had no sound.. no matter what we did, unable to solve it!.. we tried everything!.. and him getting rather impatient. turned out to be channel mute on the desk.. I MEAN REALLY!!!.. HOW OBVIOUS IS THAT FOR GODS SAKE!! but at the time...3 of us just did not think of it! ; )
Its funny right... I mean, sometimes when we have problems in life, our heads always assume the worst & the more complex things. when really its often the simple and obvious. but were all crazy (confirmed) because we never think like that!..
Pfft. you guys are crazy!. : )

Hahaha... That's life!
We should just get really neanderthal stupid and stubborn and track the signal flow with our finger link by link, button by button, each time
Yup. That's what I do, Michael.
Unga-bunga basic...

So true, Andy. You nailed it right there IMHO.
We've got all this complex stuff we spent thousands of hours learning and configuring for use, and then when crunch time comes we act as if we're still figuring things out / setting things up / configuring stuff. First point of call should always be the basics, but we're not in that headspace at times such as these... generally speaking, and especially when we haven't put our gear through its paces in a while - that's the killer that bites me every time!
