Email sent!

I'm pretty upset with whoever started the whole "email sent" thing. It is not necessary and we were not told to do so on the forums in this manner. Now every time I have a notification for this thread. I don't get excited on new news because it's always "email sent" messages. Hehehe

If we now discuss the usefulness of 'email sent' posts Instead of only posting 'email sent' it won't get better with the notifications. -
Well I have sent the email, and I'm very excited my 2.5 yr wait may finally be over

I sent an email, but I never posted in this thread that I sent an email. Only when we come to an agreement as a forum wether or not we should make "email sent' posts will I make such a post.
Side note: I haven't gotten a KPA yet, but when I do. I must have a foot switch. I might have the honor of being the first person to get the KFC before the KPA! Exciting times!

The whole email sent thing is not worthy of discussion, imo. What's the big deal? We're excited! We're sharing with our friends on the boards!
At this point, I'm really eager to know the pricing of this device. Could make a big difference to whether I'm able to afford it at the present juncture. I'm also keen to know whether the looper functions are locked within the Remote, or whether I would be able to send a simple CC message on my current board that would allow me to turn on and turn off loops. That'll be a big factor in whether I buy right away, as will the way the looper function works, I am particularly keen that it has advanced looper functions on board, which will be very handy for me as a one-guitar band.

Ooooh they're so good at the teasing game.So -- what do we have here? Simplified display, readable from a standing position; the 4+4 slots pre- and post-amp are shown with their current effect and on/off state, as well as the name of the patch/performance; the Roman numerals likely represent the four effects switches on the Foot Controller, showing which switch does what. Slots C, X and Mod are probably empty at the moment, not just off.

very interesting! HMMMMM

$600 will be hard to explain to my wife, but it looks like Kemper have done a really nice job with the integration. I want one!
-
So, based on this thread, I'm thinking should just wait, and not waste any more time programming my Ground Control any more...
-
I am truly hoping it is smaller than the Ground Control ..... and I agree that $600.00 for a foot controller is a bit on the steep side considering you can get a fully integrated FCB1010 for ~ $175.00.
Of course, it requires multiple connections and doesn't show the rig name you are on ... or what efx you have loaded into each slot.
Granted that Behringer is likely able to manufacture products at a lower price point than Kemper simply due to economy of scale. Based on that alone, I would expect a price no lower than $400.00. The $600.00 figure may well fly though for several marketing reasons.
The kinds of people that buy the KPA are not people that are adverse to spending top dollar for what they want. In my particular case, the ease of setup (single POE ethernet cable connection) is well worth a premium over the FCB solution.
Many of us that own the KPA do more than pluck guitar in a basement (ie it is either a professional piece of gear that pays the bills, or it is a semi-pro setup that gets used in anger non-the-less).
It is much easier to lower the price of a new product after the early adopters have paid top dollar for it than it is to raise the price after introduction. It may be that even if the introduction price is $600.00, things might come down a little after a year or two (not that anyone in THIS thread would ever dream of waiting that long ).
