I can only add 2 cents from my perspective. Many users of TME appreciate the ease of access to parameters that they did not want to reach or did not know that they exist at all. There is also a group of people working in the recording studio, who prefer to have editing capabilities at hand - especially when the KPA is somewhere further away from the console. So, is the editor needed? It depends on who, but I can assure you that many people will use it for sure.

The list above isn't from Summer NAMM 2019. I downloaded the directory from the NAMM site and it does not list Kemper as participating in the show.
My mistake. You are right, the list isn’t for Summer NAMM. Thanks for the correction.

I'd settle for the thing we saw where effect presets were grouped by effect type. Getting carpal tunnel over here turning the knob through hundreds of presets every time I want to change a slot's effect.

I don't think many people dispute an editor would be useful and the TME proves there is a need ( your work on this has been fantastic!!).
I also support the need for one. Some people need it less, for me I want it for setting it up for live, although once set I don;t make too many changes, hence definitely useful.
I just get a bit irritated with the:
1)The KPA is useless without an editor or similar extreme language
2) It's failure on Kemper's part because its not here yet so why did they show it, should have been there from the start etc...
There is a post on the facebook group really slating Kemper over the Editor and I think its so disproportionate....
This is the first commercial product where I feel I've had input into its development and for that I'm extremely happy. As a community, we were asked about the remote, we've been asked so many times on what features - most said delays and reverbs and boom...hence for me they are in a no win situation for some people who think commercial software just pops into existence.

The Editor is going to be the greatest thing ever, as I spend a lot of time designing sound palettes and reamping DI signals, so I am constantly tweaking things from my desk. The Kemper Profiler is predominantly a piece of outboard gear in my toolbox, so having remote editing capability is going to be huge!

we're planning on a summer '19 release
It's summer '19
-
Such witty. So humour. Much funny.
-
In Germany, fall begins on Sep 23rd 2019. So there's some time left for release candidate testing in summer.
-
My guess is that the editor will be released among with the new Kemper Stage- so it's probably only a matter of days.
An editor looks quite mandatory to me for that new device - so I hope it will be released on Wednesday - no beta, just booooom and there you go

Why? This is almost the same panel like in the rack or toaster. There is no on/off(I never used it) and copy and paste buttons . I think you could do all tweaks with hardware panel.
But I will be happy to see the editor

Sure, with ass high in the air and face on the floor
Seriously, this thing needs an editor

If no editor then I see more work on the Toast ME software DamianGreda. Get burning that midnight oil!

You have to remember not to dress up thongs for performances

You don’t have to put it on the floor for editing, but hopefully an editor will arrive soon.

Floor unit is supposed to live on the floor I can't imagine edit settings having it on the desk and moving it next on the floor to play just imagine unplugging/plugging the cables and moving them all around

Has a release of the editor on the 24th been officially confirmed?
