lol That was actually in the hotel room down in Indiana after getting back from Gear Fest.

when fretting the 3rd fret.
again, fret the string in question at the 3rd fret and it should have just a little wiggle room over the first fret.
this is the way major manufacturers with top luthiers in their staff set up guitars.
go lower - exptecto fret buzzumOf course that's what I always do. Still too much height? Continue filing a little and check again and file again and....Till it's purrrfect.

My new Mayones Jabba Custom. Waited about 15 months to get it, but this thing is so amazing it's well worth the wait.

You can never go wrong with blue color. Just love that on guitars. I'm sickn'tired of black guitars I used to love before. Just can't stand it anymore. I need to sell my black guitars.

I always setup the action as low as possible at the nut, as I have a very light picking and fretting action I only get buzz if it’s actually touching the first fret, when fretting the 3rd fret it touches the 1st fret with no hassle. Obviously it depends a lot on the player and if you are a Shredder you’ll have a different setup to a Blues Guitarist etc
-
You low action shredders can’t know how good it is to slide. I hope you keep an acoustic one properly set
-
That's no problem if they know the ol' trick, PM:
Slide a full cigarette-paper packet under the strings behind the first fret. If it's still not high-enough, shift the packet forward so its "front" edge sits on the 1st fret. Done!
Welcome to the forum, Sweepy.

You’re very lucky My Folreden has lots of issues from the trem snapping strings and needing polishing down, the earth wire not being soldered properly so it came off, a dead fret, I could go on. I need to get it to a luthier to make it playable and would never buy from them again. Honestly I’ve got an old squire that plays much better.
On the other side I know a few on this forum haven’t had this experience and love them.
