Hi Everyone.
Check your junk mail in your inbox. It might be there!
Once I'd found my e-mail from the Kemper store, it took three attempts to complete the order on three different devices. It finally completed on my PC.
Now the final phase of waiting begins...
What will we all talk about when the Remote finally arrives?
Cheers
Pre-Amp
I have nothing in my junk mail too...
i'm having trouble pre-ordering. One of the final pages is in German, and when i go to select payment method, i select paypal, but nothing happens. there is no option to "ok" your choice and complete the order, even when clicking on credit card. don't want to miss my window here
You select in advance! Wait for payment details before shipping.
cool, thanks, i got it now
Units should ship around March. Jealous of all the early birds here, but I look forward to hearing about your first experiences
I try again. Does anyone know where bank no. shows on the new foot controller? i dont see it anywhere on the very small pictures!
I ordered mine earlier today.

On the display..?
Cheers,

I've been away and missed all the announcement shizz. Is everyone totally ok with the price? I like many others i know were pretty shocked by it, certainly wasn't expecting it to be "cheap" but honestly for a bit of metal and some buttons, not even a single pedal, its close to double what i was expecting. My guess is they could charge double again though and plenty of people would just hand over their cash, sigh.
A Ferrari is indeed a piece of metal, an engine with four wheels too. And it´s called a car.
We will have to decide soon because I think we have 14 days to cancel the order or we're bound to it...
You have 14 days to decide...after you receive the unit !
One thing I noticed is a three year warranty on the unit - I don't think anyone else offers over a year. Well, Fractal does but you get charged $75 to add that to their footswitch. And according to the website, there's a 45 day money back guarantee.
In the EU manufacturers have to honour a 2-year warranty. So they actually added one year. Not trying to bash their services or effort, just giving you a perspective.

I think that is a Rig Mode display picture, not a Performance Mode display picture.
Is there no way to control all 8 slots (stomps + efx) with the I-IIII buttons?
Yes, but I mean separately. As in e.g. switching the function of those 4 buttons between controlling either stomps or efx. I do a lot of improvised stuff and need access to them all at any time.
Yes, but it seems you can only chose 4 slots, or 4 combinations of slots. I wish there were two layers to those buttons, so that one could access each slot individually.
If we could assign all 8 slots I would buy it. Can't we have a mode option? like using the tuner switch to switch from stomps to effects or 1 to 4 and 5 to 8? I don't need the tuner switch at all.
I think that is a Rig Mode display picture, not a Performance Mode display picture.
If not the bank no. shows anywhere its easy to be lost
I have pretty much done tweaking the HD500 as a controller to cover all my live set needs (cover band, sort of wide range of music). After reading the (somewhat incomplete) remote information I'm going to stick with HD500 for now. The things I miss from Remote are: fewer cables (1 vs. 2), multistomp on/off switching and maybe the tuner
Yesterday I came across one thing that is less convenient with the KPR; based on the documentation one can't set the direction how the expression pedal works i.e. whether it is full on toe or heel position. Not atleast as rig or pedal type (volume/wah/pitch) specific. With midi controller like HD500 this is rather easy to do.
As an example I'm having volume pedal for all my rigs and then as then activate either wah or pitch effect as a secondary expression pedal effect through the toe switch. Now when I activate vinyl stop' pitch effect by just pressing the expression pedal the effect activated as 'full' (=silence) and loses its meaning really, but by reversing the sweep direction for this single effect the thing works like a charm.
The things I miss from Remote are: fewer cables (1 vs. 2),
It's actually 1 vs. 3, since you need another cable to power the HD 500
