I read your articles about the talkbox and using a Rockton Banshee pedal for this. Do you think the cheaper Harley Benton unit could work? I also use a Kemper powerhead.
Brian from HFC. I was curious if you have a copy of the "PITCH Wide Sitar 2" profile from Don Petersen? I've searched for this but can't locate a copy anywhere. I did make a query with Don, but I'm not sure he is active still on here.
Dropbox will show a "Can't open this file type" message, but there will be a Download button. If downloading the .krig file gives you any problems, let me know. I can Zip it, if necessary.
Hello, I have come across a thread in which you talk about using a talk box with Kemper, even that you have created a profile to simply use the pedal. I am thinking of getting a talk box and I would like to know what is the correct way to use it since I hardly find information about it. I have a Kemper Stage and I don't use any cabinet or anything, it just goes directly to the PA and I listen to it through an in-ear system. I would like to know if it is possible to use it that way, what would be the correct way to use it and how I would have to connect it. Thank you very much in advance.
I use a Rocktron Banshee. My guitar is connected to the Banshee, and the Banshee is connected to the input of the Kemper. The tube is mounted on my microphone stand.
and then the sound of your guitar, with the effect of the takbox, sounds through the LR outputs of the kemper? without the need for a microphone to amplify it? I apologize for my insistence, given my ignorance on the matter and I thank you for your answers
The Talkbox sound comes out of a tube that is attached to the output of the Talkbox. You put the tube in your mouth, and use a vocal microphone to send the sound to the PA.
I am trying to update a Kemper Stage from 7.1.19 to the latest. I tried putting 7.3.2 on a usb stick and the Kemper recognizes that an OS is other but says that it failed and can not perform the update. Is their another step to get the unit past 7.1.19?
From what I have seen, the only place to discuss Commercial Profiles is in the “Third Party Rigs” forum. Whenever people mention them in another forum, the Moderators tend to move the entire thread to that forum. I’ve seen it happen with many threads that started out as “free rig” threads.
The Master Volume knob range is setting is dependant on a couple of settings in the Output Menu.
In the Output Menu, look at the Volume Setting for the Main Outputs. One way to make it match the Master Volume is to turn Master up all the way, and then turn Main Outputs up all the way.
Also, look to see if the "Main Out -12 dB" box is checkmarked.
I don’t have a Stage, so, here is a guess: Try holding down the Lock button, and and clicking each stomp button, then release the Lock button. If that doesn’t work, ask Support and on the Forum.
hi paul,i've read your useful replies in "kabinet qa" forum,i still got a question about the volume when you use kabinet -- can this thing running in very low volume condition and without losing character and the feel like studio moniters did
I think it responds just as well as any other single 12 inch sealed back guitar cabinet does at lower volumes. If you primarily use sounds that are associated with open back cabinets, you may prefer putting a Kone into an open back cabinet.
thanks! so in a low volume level like 70db to 80db,kabinet or studio moniter(genelec or something ) sounds more good ? i know it make a cabinet wronged, but i also noticed kabinet have full range mode which in my mind it's just like a big unit studio moniter which doesn't effected by volume level too much,so i can use Imprint and crank it over 80db,and when it goes to late night i can switch it to full range mode and enjoy the whisper of it .
i've make some research about volumne level for home use, does it(i mean minimum volume level when sounds pretty good) actully effected by the power amp's watt range, cause kemper(as a preamp) and adjust volume to any level.
I don't have an OX BOX, but, you don't need it to record your Kemper to your DAW. Your Kemper can be connected directly to the input of whatever Audio Interface you are using with your DAW.
The OX BOX is designed to be used with the Speaker Level Output from a conventional Tube Amplifier. The Main and Monitor Outputs of the Stage are Line Level Outputs. I don't see a Line Level Input on the back of the OX BOX.
Hi, we’ve got Kemper power rack with it’s remote and expression pedal. Also a Behringer x32 rack and a Comp with Pro Tools. We want to automate our Kemper with MIDI.
And we’d like to know if it is possible to write(record) live actions of remote controller on the MIDI track in Pro Tools?
So that after we can playback it and all buttons rig changes will automatically work on Kemper.
If it is possible, please let us know how we should do that.
My guess is that you can record to a MIDI track if you enable "UI to MIDI" in the System Menu. After the track is created, you will likely have to manually insert the appropriate MIDI PC at the count-in of each song, so the Kemper will begin with the proper Rig/Performance Slot.
Kemper Support may have some suggestions, and there may be someone on the Forum may who has already done this.
Hello! I suggest posting your question in the User Forum. I don’t use an Apollo interface, but, there will be people there who can give you advice from their experience.
Hi. I see in an old post that you downloaded a free lasselammert’s profile of a Diezel vh4 with “Adam Jones settings”. Unfortunately that link does not work anymore. Could you please let me try it?
Hi Paul, I am new to the forum and find your posts very helpful. Do you know of a good way to run a KPA stereo setup with 2 DXR10s? I just got them and they seem incredibly loud.
Quick question, I have a show coming up at Ace Of Cups and this would be the first time using my Kemper with a professional sound set up, where do you normally set your output volume for the FOH? I thought I read somewhere someone suggested -16db
Greetings! I have mine set at -15 or -16, too. In the Ouput Menu, Unlink the Main Outputs from your Master Volume, and then set the level. That way, they will not be affected by any changes you make later to the front panel Master Volume knob.
I just noticed your in Columbus and play with the Reaganomics, your playing tomorrow at the Zoofari with my cousins band The Martini Affair, Will Newsome. He is a shredder
Hey Paul... where does the Banshee talkbox fit in the signal chain with your KPA? I just got one and haven't figured out how to put it all together. Cheers
Hey whats up your profiles are tight as shit. pedal steel, wah formant etc. I just couldnt find where i could download them. That is if your sharing them with people , if so could you show the way to get some of those cool profiles?
Hey Paults...Wondering if you could give me your opinion on your JBL LSR308's? I seen in a post you said you use them and I'm considering a pair. I would not do any mixing on them only playing through them with the Kemper. The room is about 24ft by 15ft. I'm interested in them because of the wide sweet spot with their patented stereo imaging. I currently have a used set of Alesis M1 620's 6.5 inch speaker. They sound pretty good but wondering if I will get a much "bigger/fuller" sound using the 8 inch LSR's. Do you think they would be a good choice for just playing through for my given room size or would they maybe be too much and be better off with a smaller size. I appreciate your input and opinion on these monitors. Thanks!
If you are unsatisfied with your Alesis speakers, I'm sure these would sound much bigger and fuller. They would not be too much for the room - I use them in a smaller space than 24x15.
Hey there brother. Wanted to see if you are willing to be of service. I have a non-powerd kemper rack unit running into two powerd monitors. I also have two eventide h9's running in stereo into the effects loop. I want to incorporate the banshee into my rig. My understanding is that if I run the banshee in the front of my rig that I will not be able to use the effects inside the kempER which would include my eventide in the effects loop. Is this true? If so, I wanted to (if possible) run the banshee inline with my two eventide into the effect loop. This option (in theory) would be optimum for I could mix epic eventide sounds with the banshee. Thank you, Marcus.
Hello! The Banshee output is sent through a tube, into your mouth. The sound is typically sent to the PA with a vocal microphone. If you want your H9s to be able to have an effect on the Banshee output, you could do dimething complicated like this: get a small mixer. FX loop send to Banshee. Banshee bypass output to mixer . Connect a microphone to another mixer input. Connect the output of the mixer to the H9s.
Alright. Is there a simpler/way to hook up the banshee and use the effects that come with the Kemper? And or, can I run one of my eventides together with the banshee in front of my amp? Thank you so very much for your time, much appreciated!
There has to be a microphone, so people can hear the sound of the Banshee. You could put one H9 before the Banshee, and connect the microphone to the PA.
Hello, search for "Fender Dyn DR paults" - Rig Exchange truncated the names of versions 1 and 2. If you are looking for them because of the "clean Fender" thread, start with your guitar volume low. These are clean with the guitar volume down, and cranked with it up
You can put the effects before the Banshee, and then connect the microphone to the regular PA system, so people can hear the sound that comes out of your mouth.
