Thanks meambobbo

Great job , and very instructive to read !
I will try to add some presets I made for the rotovibe I use on most of my recordings. -
Great job! With this, we should be around 1/3-1/2 of wiKPA moved to wikpa.org
Thanks Robert for helping the process!

Great work! Some very helpful info here...

no problem. the doc was around 115 pages when i started...now it's at 32. [B-)]
it's also helped me absorb a lot of advice about the unit.
i am now seeing something though that i have to test. i heard a rumor that increasing cab volume and turning down rig volume can alter the tone, but i've also heard it's false. and sure enough it shows up in the wiKPA in favor of boosting cab volume. I usually feel these things are caused by different volume curves, so the same settings inversed aren't actually the same volume. more volume tends to be preferred, especially if one doesn't believe they are experiencing a volume difference.

Exactly. Rig volume and cab volume are scaled differently.

Yes, it's here:
QuoteThe KPA has got three volume knobs:
1. Master Volume
2. Amp Volume
3. Cabinet Volume[[ckemper]] None of these alter the sound. But the controls are scaled differently, giving you a different perception.
The cab volume is hence easier for making fine adjustments. If you have an EQ on X, the cab volume is also a very important part of your overall volume control.

Hey there,
I hope this is the right place to ask this. I created an account for the wiki because I wanted to add some info on the Signature Tones page. So that worked, and I made my little edit, and previewed it to check that it looked ok. Then I hit the Save page button, and the page reverted back to the original state and my edit was nowhere to be seen. Is this supposed to happen? Are the edits reviewed or something prior to being posted? Thanks.
-
i don't think they're reviewed...i checked the history and it didn't record the change. could you try a small edit to test?
-
There's no "review before publish" system in place.
We have a pretty helpful page to see the most recent changes ... and this log includes ALL changes.
There's an entry for the user generation but no entry of you editing (and saving) a page.Just a wild guess ... maybe you tried to edit a page while it was "locked" because someone else was editing the same page? The corresponding alert boxes can easily be overseen.
-
Ok, tried it again, and I see what the problem was. I used an external link and a little message popped up that looked like all the rest of the page (they really should use a bold red font or something that stands out). It wanted the name of the inventor of the KPA to prove I wasn't a spam bot. So after confirming that I was a real person, it went ahead and saved my edit. Thanks for the help! I have a lot to read on that site. LOL Good work!

You're welcome DB. Enjoy reading

Dear Vibraforce , alias GianFranco ,
Enough is enough.
Only now it comes to my attention that you quoted me on your site :http://www.wikpa.org/Wasting_Time#Tubes_replacement_problem
Since this subject is of the highest importance for all Kemper users (and thus not only me) I am forced to put one comment and one question in regards to this matter :
comment : I am still looking to find some more info about Kemper tube replacement , but still no any answer from CK or his KPA tube department . Sad enough , forum members seems to be very happy with their original , factory Kemper tubes, which make me suspicious to believe that no one here gives a shit .
question: If may I ask, why did you quoted me on your site under" Wasting Time" Section ???
Does it looks to you like a waisted time if I ask for simple instruction how to replace fu#$%ing tubes in KPA ???
Cheers

Firts of all, this is not Gianfranco's site ... consider it to be OUR site, a community driven effort. Everyone can contribute.
Second, maybe this specific page should have been called "Fun Stuff" ... the stuff you want to read when you want to waste some time reading the funny side of the Profiler world.
... and the rest of your comment (including your question) must be ironic, so I won't comment or answer that.
-
Hey Martin,
Rescator was clearly joking... all of his post is ironic
ROTFL
I would not be able to find a single serious line in what he wrote.
.this is not Gianfranco's site ... consider it to be OUR site, a community driven effort.
.
True. FWIW, the quotation was in the wiKPA long before the site was up tho. So he "rightfully" complained with me LOLPeace & Axes

We should add to that section:
* Trying to dial in a professional sounding tone with a Pod HD.
After 2 freakin years messing with that thing, I'm pretty sure it's a waste of time.
