For anyone else looking to replace their speaker in a RedSound cab - just got this from the UK distributor:

Sorry, looks like a no go for the Kone. All the physical parameters are probably okay, main problem is that the output of the Red Sound is 8 ohms, and the Kone is a 4 ohm speaker, which would not only give a bad sound, but in all likelihood would damage the Kone.

I Just briefly tested the imprints feature on my F12X200, i found it more "organic" on some profiles.. well... just me?

Yay! Kemper Kabinet is released just before my holiday so I get to read about how wonderful it is long before I can get my hands on one!

i wouldn’t expect the 8 ohm output to do any damage to a 4ohm cab. The danger is more likely to be that the Kemper only supplies a 4ohm load so the Red Sound amp may get damaged. Check with Red Sound. The other option would be to chain two Kones in series which would give you and 9 ohm load.

Still no Kone available to the Canadian store. I asked the US store if they'd ship to Canada, no reply yet.

My Kabinet just arrived! Great looking and compact piece of gear. Just got the software installed. Lots of imprints and initial impressions is that they all sound quite good!

Mine came this afternoon too. Very impressed so far too. Sounds great in the room. The EVM12L imprint doesn't sound the same as my actual EVM12L which is loaded in a Mesa Thiele cab. I put that down to the fact that the Mesa cabinet is ported. However, the bass boost option does a great job of getting close to the effect of the ported cab. I imaging it would have a similar effect to making the 1x12 sound more like a 412 too.

It also seems to be able to cope with my performances where I have 4 regular guitar rigs and on slot dedicated to an acoustic rig for the Piezo in my Parker Fly and PRS P22. As long as the rig has no Cab block turned on, the Kabinet seems to automatically switch to FRF for that slot

I think it sounds great and quite big in the room. The bass boost option makes it sounds like my 2x12 Friedman cab. Haven't really been able to crank it yet but I will say that every time I look at the Kabinet I think that it seems very small for such a big sound.

I have only been playing at home at fairly low volume so can't really say much about pushing air. I does sound very like a real cabinet though.

Another thing worth noting is that the Kabinet is SIGNIFICANTLY lighter than the EVM loaded Mesa cab and about half the depth so its a breeze to carry.

The Creamback imprint sounds realllllly good. That's what I play normally and was pretty impressed at how spot on it sounded.

Got shipping confirmation today, I'll have a Kabinet this Friday.

Is there a manual available for the Kabinet yet? Did it come with one?
