I've finally treated myself to a KPA and I''m getting my head around what I can do with it. Any recommendations for the best high gain metal packs? I don't know where to start!
Just bought a Kemper! Wanting high gain metal packs- not sure where to start...

Welcome..
http://mbritt.com/kemper-profiles/ is a good start there is a metal/heavy/modern and 5150 packs plus a number of high gain boutique ones also.
There are a number of other commercial ones so try the commercial thread for links. I’m sure there are many quality free ones also...happy hunting.

Welcome and nice treat!

Welcome to the forum. I'm not a high-gain guy, but I think if you search the forum you'll find quite a few threads on that. I think that Sinmix has a good rep for those.

Welcome Sir, Search the rig exchange for the amps you like.

Welcome! Best high gain profiles are on the exchange.
Search for
James Stephenson
Thumas
Kosten
Lothar99% of the time I just use profiles I made myself. No one knows your own taste better than you, so I suggest making your own if at all possible.

Hey Welcome,
I have been having good luck with the mesa boogie mark II C+ and EVH 5150 profiles if you can find them. -
@CaliforniaJarv
Please try the Lasse Lammert and Lars Luettge Rig Packs in our download section, or use Rig Manager for easy access & instantly playable tones.hth

Totally spaced out on TMS Profiles, check all his threads he has given away a ton of great free profiles, and be sure to support him as well, they are also low priced.
These were released free as well and are good:
-
Deadlight Studios has pretty heavy tones on it!! TAF is good too, but probably not as heavy as you're wanting
-
For free search grstudios on the rig exchange, he has outstanding profiles.
For paid I like Cililab and Reampzone.
The 5153 stealth pack from Cililab would be my favourite of his that I have tried.
The only main pack I have from Reampzone is the Dual Rectifier Rev F which is absolutely brilliant, but I also have the direct pack from Reampzone and there are a number of great metal profiles in that for use with a different cab(I use the cab from Kostens 5150 platinum mod profile which can be found on a link on youtube, or I use a cab from the dual rec pack). Favourites from that are PRS Archon, 6505 and Randall Diavlo.

I just bought the Orange Rockerverb profiles from The ReAmp Zone and am pretty impressed so far. There's a lot of profiles with several different cabs, and they all sound good.

The STL Lasse Lammert Pack has some great high gain profiles. I am a big fan of Sinmix, Reampzone and the other guys mentioned previously. The Lars Luettge pack is great and Thumas has some killer profiles on Rig Exchange. So many great profiles to choose from...
