NGD - New Gear Day!
-
-
I got a Kemper DI box the other day. Looking forward to messing with it, once Easter is out of the way.
I also bought a keyboard for the kids to learn on. Turns out, I’m learning more than them!
-
Been playing the same guitar for 26 years , started eyeing the Cutlass when they came out a few years back and the new gear bug bit me a couple of weeks ago.

I sold my Victory Kraken amplifier a couple of days ago. Great amp, but I was looking for something different. Also managed to sell a vocal processor that I probably never should have bought.
Anyhow, the cash infusion gave me the scope to get another Mark V:25 amp.
Here's a "family" shot with the new addition. My Triple Rec and Archon are out of the frame.

nightlight good choice. Great little amps.

Just got one of these :
And one of these for the price of two beers :

Amazing guitar with an amazing bridge...
i was wondering on doing a wood bridge on my next guitar, this thread keeps always surprising me in a good way
-
I like the Gibson knobs better...will have to put a cream tip on the toggle switch too.

This arrived Yesterday but I've been playing it so much I forgot to take a photo until now.
1997 Parker Fly Deluxe in fantasic condition - although I have already managed to break the Trem Spring. Managed to track one down on ebay but it's coming from Florida so I have a bit of wait ahead of me. In the meantime I've converted it to a hardtail with a Flame Maple Tone Wood block
It weighs less than fresh air
due to it being made of basswood (neck) and poplar (body) both super light but not very strong. Strength comes from a thin carbon fiber exoskeleton and carbon fiber fretboard.
It's awesome switching between electric and piezo with specific rig for each.
And the broken Trem Spring
Now that the Fly has arrived I need to step up my efforts to sell my 1989 Yamaha MSG. On reverb for £1,100 but would take £1,000 for a direct sale with no Reverb Fees to deduct.

So, the Mesa Boogie Mark V:25 is gone. Great little amp, but I think I prefer big iron.
I basically traded it with a guy who had an Engl Fireball 100 and an Orange 2x12. Nice dude, brought it over, let me test it, picked up my amp and left me positive feedback on the local deal site.
This is quite a cool amp. I was worried it would cover the same ground as my Engl Savage 120, but it's in a different niche, much higher gain and more bottom end.
I did a recording test this evening of the amp, in case anyone wants to hear.

A NPD, but not a guitar pedal!
These are Czarcie Kopyto (Devil's Hoof) pedals. Made in Poland. They have quite a list of celeb endorsers, including from brands like Immortal, Cannibal Corpse, Decapitated, Behemoth.
Obviously, just like buying a celeb-endorsed guitar, I sound absolutely nothing like those metal gods. But it was used and being sold for a good price and we only have one life, so I figured: why not?
The design looks like it's heavily borrowed from the Trick Bigfoot that I have, but there are lots of differences still, the main one being that this has a standard expansion spring whereas the Trick uses a compression spring.
Really digging them so far, super responsive and the heavier kind of feel that I like from a double bass pedal even though it's direct drive.
I don't know about everybody else, but I'm sure CEDRIC will like these!
