I run my IEMs from my headphone out.

Did you test the Line 6 vs the Freqout?
No, I haven't used the Freqout.

I use the Feedbacker effect in a Line 6 HX One in the effects loop. It's closer to real feedback than anything else I've tried, and very configurable, so you can simulate that pitch change that you get when changing the angle of the guitar relative to the speaker.
It's a very decent effect.
But, for many years, I have also used an E-Bow. This is similar to a Sustainer pickup but without having to alter your guitar, as it's a hand-held external effect.
It doesn't work for chords, but for single notes, it sounds exactly like feedback because it is basically doing the same thing. -
What did you load into the Looper, .wav or .mid? Has the Boos got drum sounds on board?
Pretty sure you can load either. Yes, the Boss looper has a number of "kits" on board.

A solution I have used is EZDrummer. Great, organic-sounding drums which you can fine-tune as well. You can then easily build your own drum parts by "playing" a virtual kit, then save the MIDI files. I uploaded them to a Boss RC600 looper for live performance and it worked really well. It's fast and intuitive.
I've since ditched the looper, as I already have enough to do with my feet, and trigger the drums from my iPad using BandHelper, so it's all automated.
If you're using an iPad, connect it via the lightning port with an Apple camera kit. -
Great stuff. There's a Mars Volta flavour, which I like.

H90 here and only really for the synth effects. Otherwise, I've always found the effects in the Kemper do everything I want to do, and sound great.

Thank you for the reply, Burkhard

I am aware that it's possible to send certain MIDI CC messages with expression pedals connected to the Profiler and/or Remote. Is there any way that these messages can be sent with on/off switches instead? I'd like to be able to enable/disable a couple of MIDI controllable pedals in the signal chain by assigning on/off switches connected to the Remote, rather than adding a MIDI footswitch to my pedalboard, if possible.

Beautiful flame!
Thank you!
Yes, he had some really nice pieces of roasted, flame maple.

been using it since the 90s and there is a noticable difference if I do not apply it. Tried other products and even household chemicals that were suggested to me, but this stuff just works.
(and as a bonus gets rid of the most annoying squeaks when recording acoustic guitars)Yes, I use Fast Fret too and agree with DonPetersen .

I once read that coated strings (which are only coated on the wound strings, right?) are destroyed if you do that pick scrape thing down the neck. So that's them out for me!
I did try Elixirs and thought they sounded dull.
I use regular strings and a string cleaner on a cloth after each gig, which keeps them in good condition for much longer.
I have no brand preference - I use whatever is the best price.10 - 46 gauge. I also avoid stainless steel strings, as they seem to destroy the frets.

Welcome!

Currently, just an editor, yes.
That's a very good point. -
A 1.0 application is rarely the end of things. And the guys at Kemper appear to take a long-view of system development.
Of course. It's a constant source of delight!

Since the advent of Rig Manager, I have been able to create and edit Performances for gigs straight from my MacBook Pro, via USB.
I love being able to work like this; I find it intuitive, fast, and efficient.
Unfortunately, the USB ports on my MacBook recently died, which meant that installing new software revisions, and creating/editing Performances suddenly became... impossible.
Then wireless connectivity was announced! I have an iPad, I use a standalone router for my band's XR18 mixing desk, and I already use a POE injector for Remote, so I thought, this is going to save my bacon!
I'm connected and it's working great. Well done, Kemper! However, there are certain things that I can't do on the iPad which I could when using RM on the MacBook:
For example, I need to be able to reorder the Performances quickly, as I have them in setlist order and we typically change the setlist before every gig. This doesn't seem to be possible.
Secondly, I rely on Rig Manager to create and store Performances, so that I can drag things out of my library folders and tweak them. The tweaking is good to go on iPad, but the initial creating of a Performance isn't.Are the full set of Rig Manager features something that we can expect to see further down the line?

Great sounds, great playing. Welcome!

Wow totally blown away by how you continue to innovate Kemper, thank you so much! It sounds fantastic! Question for all you fuzz aficionados, if one wanted to get their inner Billy Corgan on, any recommendations on how to dial in an opamp big muff or Jordan bosstone fuzz circuit?
