Just bought a brand new kemper powerhead and I can't get my Mesa mark v profiles it keeps saying Error no external amp connected or volume too low! Please check and restart profiling. I've checked everything and the volume is cranked and I still get the error. What is the deal? I'm plugged in the way it says however it doesn't seem like here is a whole lot of great info on how to get this working to profile

Check your microphone!! Broken Cable? Is the microphone powered (+v48V)?
I had the same problem once.... Forgot to power my microphone

I had the same problem. My mic had ON/OFF switch. And I had to use XLR return input. Not the jack one.

Welcome to the forum and hope you get it sorted

Chris,Did you read the Kemper Profiling Guide manual?

Welcome, Chris.

I had the exact same experience. Gave up on it in the end.

Can you describe, in detail, how you have things connected?

Warning non helpful comment following: Haha! i have pretty bad humor and laughed hard at the thread name because my imagination conjured a scene with you trapped in your house with the kemper holding you hostage and not letting you profile your amp Sorry... Carry on

I figured it out, it ended up being that my amp was set too loud and that I didn't have the volume up for the microphone to pickup up the sound. After that it was all good and sounded great. Anyone ever tried profiling without a mic directly into a Mesa cab clone?
-
It's great that you eliminated the problem.
People have created profiles with load boxes, cab simulators, etc. Some people are happy with their results, and some find them less dynamic/authentic than profiles created with guitar cabinet and microphone.

Welcome to the Family glad you figured it out
