The reason I ask is that the pitch shifter on verson 3.2, can not handle Allan Holdsworth chords.

Can you explain what you mean? Are you trying to pitch Shift specific chords?

Yes playing 7th chords, chords with more than three notes. And add the pitch shift 4th ore 5th above or an octave. My old ibanez HD1000 can do this. Kempers pitch shift dosent sound clean.

@strengdal
can you post recordings, please? -
Please update to a newer version, at least to 3.3.0.

@strengdal
can you post recordings, please?I did not find any good sound examples on internet or youtube. Please give me a good example? Im talking about playing chords, not single notes. I can make recordings but have to wait for next week, Busy with Gigs.

Which settings did you use? Where did you place the pitch shifter in the signal chain?
I'm not aware of any changes regarding the pitch shifter since firmware 3.2.

We realy need a pitch shifter upgrade, I tried every possible connection in the signal chain and parameters. If anyone can make a god sound example of this using Kemper profiler, I would be very happy.

Why don't you record a sample of your ibanez HD1000 to show how you want it to sound?

did you activate the "Smooth Chords" option?
-
Yes! I tried with Smooth chords and pure tuning, I tried it in the stomp insert and in the effects insert. Could not hear much difference with clean sound. The recording is in the effect insert. This is from Kemper v.5.1.1. I did the upgrade this morning.

I gave it a try yesterday and while it sounded good with the Transpose stomp at +5 or +7 (pre-amp, "Smooth Chords" enabled), some complex chords did sound strange once I tried a full octave above, kind of like the second group of strums in your example. Unfortunately I had only a few minutes to spare and my PC was off so I couldn't record it.
It didn't happen all the time; it seemed like the transposed sound was ultra sensitive to tiny intonation imperfections. A slight movement of a fretting finger could suddenly make it sound metallic and strange.
I made sure my Strat was well tuned, but with fairly light strings I guess a fretted guitar chord will often not be perfectly in tune. Mind you, I checked with the Transpose stomp off, and it definitely wasn't badly off key!

My example is realy horrible, and can not use this in live situations or in studio. I wish it would sound like the last example ( roland gr-55 )

I'd just like to point out:
you are comparing pitch-shifting with pitch detection & adding of PCM synth voices.I'll look into the behaviour of the pitch shifter with more complex chords.

Well! the last example is roland gr-55 and this is the best pitch shifter i have in my studio, the sound Im using is not PCM synth but only modelling guitar. Its also many other harmonizers that can do this, like TC Electronix, Eventide and Electro-harmonix Pitch fork.
