Hi everyone. I've been lurking here since the summer when I bought my Kemper rack and remote. I have to say, it is an impressive piece of guitar innovation. And I am also impressed by the community, its generosity, and the advice on this forum. Thanks everybody.
Most of my music and writing now is as a worship leader for the church. I had given up on digital modeling (primarily Line 6) due to the artifacts I was hearing live. So I went back to a set up with my Fender Strat to my Carr Mercury amp with an EL34 tube and a few quality pedals. Gotta say that little Mercury amp with the built in power attenuator sounds beautiful. BUT, we decided to go all IEMs and I needed a new direct solution... that is, without doubt, the Kemper.
I've rack mounted the Kemper with a front custom patch panel to run both my Strat pickups and the Fishman power bridge (Piezo pickup). I also patch my vocal through to a TC Helicon Voicetone for compression and dynamics. I also use the front patch panel to hook up my Kemper Remote and even my Taylor acoustic when needed. In most settings I'm running IEMs (Future Sonic G10s) but I recently added the Atomic CLR Neo Mk IIs for when I need stage volume. Love the CLR so far. I'll post pics as soon as I can figure out how to on this forum
I'm still getting used to working with rigs. I'm liking @lonestargtr M Britt's Rigs (many but love the Ceriatone and Dumble) and @and44 TAF Rigs (Roland Jazz Chorus). I profiled my Carr Mercury and it's close but noisy (will have to figure that out). I hope soon to also profile my Fender Vibrolux reissue and the '65 Fender Band Master. Really liking the new effects in the 5.x release as well
Well anyway... that's a long way of saying hello. Thanks again for all the great advice. I'm glad to be here with all of you.
