What is it for? To replace a broken part?
Anyone know if the USB Ethernet connector is circuitboard mount. I can't take the loose fitting connector on my Kemper Toaster anymore
I'm using this one:
https://www.thomann.de/de/neutrik_ne8_fdx_p6.htm
I connect it with a short (30cm) Cat6a cable to the Profiler. Anyway, i had problems with some kind of ground loop because i have a DI-box mounted to the same rack panel and thats why i had to isolate it using duck tape ( ground lift switch works too but i did'nt want to rely on it). Will post some pictures in a few minutes...
Here are the pics, the thing on the left side is a DI-Box I am using with the monitor out (https://www.thomann.de/de/neutrik_na2mjtx.htm)

Note the duck tape and also the hard to see black plastic washers on the screws to isolate it from the DI box
Here is the backsite, with duck tape on the back of the rack panel as well as on the side of the cat6a through connector:

And here is the backside of my rack:

Seems like a solution to a problem that doesn't really exist. Good job though!

Well, I just don't want to rely on that mechanicaly weak ethernet connectors in live situations
Fair enough, I've gigged with my Toaster out in the open air for a year with the normal ethernet. No problems.
I think you have been very lucky. My Ethernet connection is just tooo loose I have since come up with a solution. Need to post pictures. They could have solved it easily if they had just installed a Ethernet connector on the KPA
Like they did on the Remote
Something for Kemper Amps to keep in mind if and when they come out with a KPA2.

Very, very true.. The jack on the back of the Kemper frankly is a very weak spot for connection.

@whippinpost91850 Please could you share your solution? Mine is very loose on my toaster and I occasionally lose contact with the Remote at gigs. I can't manage without it long enough to send it in for repair so I'd be grateful for a solution which I can do myself.
@Horspip - is the connector on the KPA loose from the chassis? Or, does the cable come loose from the connector?
If the cable will not stay connected, it may need a new end installed on the cable.
@paults The actual socket isn't loose in the chassis, it's just the cable which is loose in the socket. There are a few millimetres of travel when it's engaged, meaning that the connection with the Remote is lost when the cable slips rearwards.
I have tried a couple of other cables but they made no difference. As I understand it from Support, the socket itself has some sort of internal locking mechanism which breaks if the cable is tugged, requiring a replacement socket. I'm afraid this must have happened to mine at some point, despite the fact that I'm extremely careful with it and treat it with kid gloves all the time.
I have broken more Ethernet tabs off of the exposed side... would love it...
My solution won't work for most, because my Kemper Toaster is mounted on a wood shelf for the cabinet I built to house it with my GR55.
But I will post some pictures this weekend
Yes the problem is with the jack, not the Ethernet cable. The plug is just too loose
The small plastic-clip of my factory-cable broke soon after I got it. During gigs now sometimes my remote is offline because the plug slips out of the profiler-Slot. Very annoying and not road-qualified.

You could always get a new cable! That would sort things out!
I tried a couple of quick fix clips and they did not work... I think the jack on the KPA toaster is way too loose. I fixed mine with some ingenuity.. I'll post some a picture this weekend

It's always been a bit more expensive to have a good taste !
