This week I did a lesson video teaching a chorus solo of a rockabilly blues in E. I break the solo down into 5 licks that show you a few ways to use mixolydian and blues scales, double stops, and travis picking. Should help you get bit of that classic rockabilly guitar sound into your playing!

Went with a radio/pop-rock theme this week. Features a few ways to spice up simple, singable melodies with drones, repetition, and octaves as well as some fast, flashy licks. Hope you like it! You can find a PDF download of the full notation/TAB, more writing about each lick, and a backing track of the rhythm section in the video to play to on my website: http://westheobald.com/5-pop-rock-guitar-licks/

Decided to make these videos into a weekly thing. Here's a lesson with some ideas to use over a jazz blues in Bb. I focused the lines on areas that tend to be problem spots for people who are not used to the chord substitutions in a jazz blues as opposed your traditional I-IV-V straight-ahead blues progression. Hope you guys can get something from it! I have had some free time recently and decided to try my hand at making a video guitar lesson teaching a few of my favorite Country guitar lead lines. It's my first time working with video or anything like this so let me know what you think! Both of the guitars were recorded with the Kemper using the 'Shower 62' profiles from the Bert Meulendijk pack and the bass was done with the 'Ready Tube DI' profile. You can find a PDF download of the full notation/TAB and more writing about each lick on my website: http://westheobald.com/5-country-guitar-licks/
Thanks!
