I could have sworn I looked a week ago and the price was €1.590 for the toaster - and now *bam* increased to €1,695?? Or am I going crazy?
Another Kemper price increase...?
-
-
Maybe a kemper is a better long time investment than gold
-
It's true for the unpowered versions. The powerheads/-racks have no price increase though, so the difference between unpowered - powered is diminished.

It seems that each firmware update will raise the price up to 100€ more , I'm happy to be an early adopter ( I paid 1300 € for mine back 3 years ago )

OK, German price is 1.695 €. Due to VAT probably.

I agree with the price increase of the KPA.No problem with that.Even if I will ever buy a second one to be more expensive and close to 1800-1900euro in a year or two.No problem with that. The KPA is worth all the money.
But I have a problem with the price of the Remote.IMO it should be under 400 euros and I will not buy it for 500 euros.
-
In the german Kemper Shop the remote is listed at 449 € now.
-
Imo the Remote feels to me much more worth then 500 euro...you will see + feel it when you unpack one..its built like a tank and made in germany. Not like some Line 6 product etc
About price increase..i still remember them for 1450
-
So glad I grabbed my KPA before all the hype. Got it for about 1650$ CAN (1080 EU) on the used market almost 3 years ago, best purchase ever.

LH & Deadlight
I believe you guys.I may be worth the concept and "feel" much more the money but the old, dirty art midi-fc I use right now does all the work I need (right now).
Anyway it is just my opinion.I like the Kemper-guys and as I said..the KPA is worth all the money. This is the main reason I say my opinion.I dont want to "do any bad".IMO the remote should cost new around 350 euros.I will buy it if I find some for 400euro and less.It is a midi-controller after all.A good one and specially dedicated to the KPA but still a midi-controller.You know..the thing you like to kick with your shoes full of beer & dirt...The Behringer/UNO does (almost) the same for 25% of the cost of the Remote.

Well, I guess that the winning point for me is that it is definitely not a MIDI controller... I have always hated MIDI! The speed at which I can assign the status of 4 different fx to a switch is amazing... to not mention the 1-cable connection, the duplicated display, the dedicated looper controller and... the clock
Also, I'm pretty sure it will "follow" any FW improvement, much better and robustely than a third-part device would do. -
@Nikos, I agree with you about the price and the actual functions of the remote. Indeed I preferred to buy a FAMC liquid foot 12+, even if it was more expensive it had a lot more.
But since time costs money, and programming sometimes can be very time consuming, I decided to sell the liquid foot and buy a remote for € 450 (it had one month of life, now they sell new for that price).
I think it has been my best purchase in 2015.Ps: my opinion is that Kpa has been sold for two years under its target price, since many functions were missing. Now it is becoming complete and mature product, so the price is going to its place.
I paid mine new in February 2012 €800 plus a Bogner Alchemist 2x12 combo (bought used for €400) -

How much was it before?

How much was it before?
I could be wrong, but i'm pretty sure it was 499€ since it came out.
-
I Agree that the remote is too expensive. That is why I haven't bought one yet. €449 including import charges and additional fees on top of that is just not worth it IMO. Not when something else far cheaper works equally good. I would argue that Line 6 floorboards always have been well made, but never cost that much.
For all the money a remote cost me, I can buy a new (very decent) guitar instead. Or 5 quality stomps. Or something. But I gotta say, glad I got my KPA in 2012.
