Are you working for HQ? Cool!
In lieu of a decent programmer, and even if we had one, I think this is a great idea
Are you working for HQ? Cool!
I wish, mate!
Hey, thank you again for checking up on me.
Display MoreNow you see MMan what is the problem with screen. However I doubt smaller font could be used for just this particular window, because I believe this is like generic window and generic font size....
And regarding this:
The arrow up / down / left / right buttons would be used for both categories as well as presets. Firstly for stomp / effect selection (or via the category knob on the left), and then once an effect is selected, for choosing a preset (or via the preset knob on the right).
Well to be 100% precise. You are referring to up / down/ left / right but earlier i mentioned to use < PAGE > buttons. And I haven't had presents in mind, just effect/stomps.
So UPDATE from me:
And the RIG buttons [Blocked Image: http://s8.postimg.org/4waoyonup/aaa.png]
Would be used:
If user clicks on A, B, C, D STOMP and user turns the TYPE KNOB:
1) LEFT RIG button to go to the previous effect/stomp category
2) RIGHT RIG button to go to the next effect/stomp category
3) UP RIG button to go to the previous effect/stomp
4) DOWN RIG button to go to the next effect/stompAnd I still mean only stomps/effects not presets, I haven't been thinking about presets in my posts.
BUT this kind of navigation could be also applied to presets.
Then
If user clicks on A, B, C, D STOMP and user turns the BROWSE KNOB:
1) LEFT RIG button to go to the previous effect/stomp category of presets
2) RIGHT RIG button to go to the next effect/stomp category of presets
3) UP RIG button to go to the previous effect/stomp preset
4) DOWN RIG button to go to the next effect/stomp presetIn both cases DIST EQ CHO PHA soft buttons would be used to jump to first effect in relevant category or jump to first effects preset in relevant category respectively.
How about this?
Oh I think you just wrote that
The arrow up / down / left / right buttons would be used for both categories as well as presets
How about this?
It's a distant memory for me now, Skoczy. I'm pretty much done with this one, mate. Sorry man; a lot of water has gone under the bridge since then and I guess I've lost the raging enthusiasm I had for thinking it all through.
I think the Team™ will have seen our discussion, so if any of it is taken on board, great!
Of course, you're more than welcome to refine it all on your lonesome, brother Skoczy. I really am sorry mate. I just feel flat when I start to think about this...
+1 it's painful scrolling through everything. I thought I was doing something wrong.
Lot's of good suggestions in here!! All of which would improve upon the current state. Creating new patches is still a bane for me without an editor and the stomp selection is a big part of it...
+1 ASAP!
+1 also thought there was a way to do this. Or if I click on the Mod/Delay/Reverb Button it should bring me to the relevant Effects
Still relevant +1 for only browsing presets that belong to the already assigned stomp.

I almost never use distortion stomps, but I always have to navigate through their ear and speaker killing noise to grab the effects I do use. This is a major bummer.

What a pain without this ability. You can rename stomp settings and title them starting with the device name, but who here has that much fraken time?
renaming and overwriting are two other features I miss sometimes for the stomp/stack/effects/Input/output presets.
+1, so much! I barely ever use the browse knob anymore after the 50-something delay presets got added in there, there's just too much to scroll through. Simply dedicating the type knob to selecting an effect and then narrowing the browse knob to only select from the presets of that effect would make me happy.
I don’t want much. I think the simplest thing that can be done to help (for me) is this:
When I turn the Type knob to more speedily get to the effect I want, the Browse knob should then start browsing presets FROM THAT EFFECT and not just wherever I last left it, completely ignoring Type.
That would be a crazy simple fix and save a lot of turning.
Edit* whoops! I didn’t read back far enough. This has been suggested more than once. Wish it would get integrated
