Yes they could use iLok 2 etc but no doubt some bright spark will crack that. Everyone said iLok 1 was safe but that got cracked. I don't think Kemper are stupid. Hardware units mean no revenue loss from pirates plus it keeps the customer bases units valuable. Therefore a good thing for both customers and the company
Rumor: Kemper VST Plugin
-

I think that the only acceptable (marketing speaking) solution for the integration of the kemper in other environments would absolutely involve the use of the hardware. Only then it would be good for increasing the sale volume while developing new path of market. IMHO of course!

I'm positive I'd never buy a software version of the Profiler.
Heck, I even love my hardware multitrack recorder over any computer-based DAW -
I literally don't allow Kemper HQ to create VST plugin of their hardware. Thank you.

Interesting views.
First - I doubt it!
But even if it was true, why would that kill the toaster or render current purchases useless?
The toaster is an independent hardware device that you take everywhere, connect your guitars too, power your guitar cab with ....
A plug-in would never replace that. -
Is there a reason why this thread is necro- bumped?
-
My guess is because it has a Similar Thread title to the thread about controlling the KPA from a DAW.

My guess is different @paults
