The CLR is not only available as a wedge but also as a cab-looking thing. Both can be mounted on a pole.

Yes, but the focus of this was the used wedge for sale. It's still very expensive - more than twice what I can buy a new DXR10 for ... -
True. I just wanted to point out for you that there's an alternative to a maybe strange looking wedge which is mounted in a pole.
-
The wedge mounts on a pole? Seems as though that would look a bit odd ...No, it doesn't look odd, in fact it looks quite simimilar to other wedges that are pole- mountable (DXR, EV ZLX12-P)

Here they are

I know, these are not wedges... but looking at them from front there's no actual difference... except for the logo's position
-
Yes, the wedge mounts on a pole and doesn't look odd to me:

Yep, that's how I've installed mine
-
OK, so I'm clueless ...
-
I suppose I'll end up going with a DXR10.
Somehow I thought you already had a DXR10??? Anyway, I'd recommend it highly.
Granted the Atomic has better quality, but you seem interested in other options.Just make an appointment and any local music shop (many carry them in stock) and try one out for yourself.
Based on your posted selection criteria, I believe you'll be pleased.
Hint: Try it out with one your favorite profile(s) using various cab selections. -
I don't feel the need to check it out. I had some RCF ART310A's a while ago, and they were pretty good. The DXR10's are getting better overall reviews here on the forum, so I've no doubt they'll do the job. I'm going to order just one for now, though. That will be more than enough for anything I do for now.
-
Cool! You sounded undecided before which is why I made the suggestion.
This known... Congrats!!! It'll fit your rig like a glove. -
Larry you'll like the DXR 10.
-
Paid for it this morning - should arrive next week...
-
Let us know

DXR10 arrived today. Sounds great in my home studio, but I'd like to take it somewhere to open it up a bit
Do you folks who have one run your output flat from the KPA? Right now, that's what I'm doing, and with all the DXR10 switches off ...
-
I run the output flat from my KPA.
When I use it as a wedge, I typically use the HPF set in the 100hz position, but it depends on the room. Sometimes, I have it turned off. I don't like the sound of the D-CONTOUR "Monitor" setting - the combination of high boost and low cut seems like too far away from "flat" to me.
I like it upright, and off the ground, too. I almost always run it flat that way, unless I am having a little bit of trouble hearing it. In that case, rather than turn up, I use the 100hz switch to make it sit better in the onstage mix.

Careful, don't get me in trouble with my wife! -

(Oooops...this is not going to help your marriage I guess )
-
Well... I just hope that my girlfriend does not see all my speaker cabinets like this!
And the new Italian girl (Ambrosi K Power amp) arriving soon!
