@bigHF to look for some Cross Platform Development Tools, there are plenty of them. e.g. http://livecode.com/ or https://www.madewithmarmalade.com/index.
But one of the easiest approach is HTML5. To be used with embedded (within the KPA) web servers like http://www.unicoi.com/fusion_net/fus…CFQMYwwodnzYAeA
I am not too deeply involved in this technological area, but I know, that we do have plenty of products around us who use this kind of technology already, which is very useful because you just need one web browser to access the data.

They should definitely charge for this app. I'd pay for it.
Now, how to connect via bluetooth!

Perhaps some part of this effort could be platform-independent, and that could expedite e.g. Android development down the road. But ultimately there needs to be a software layer that is iPhone/iPad specific, in order to talk to the lightning interface. For this reason, I can't really see where a browser-based app would work in the context of iOS.

Yes...and also. My performance settings locally in my iPhone in case i have to borrow another kemper on the road....would definately be worth $20

That would be a cool feature, but it adds a bit to the scope: maintaining a local library on the phone, etc. I only worry that adding any extra bells and whistles will make the project that much less likely. To start, I just want something bridging the gap between the Rig Exchange and the KPA, in absence of a PC. Keeping performance settings etc. in case you need to use an alternate KPA on the road is something a USB thumbdrive will already accommodate.
Not arguing against this additional feature, of course, just... eyes on the prize.

I would accept to pay too, even though it would be a nice touch not asking to pay 5/10€ more when people already paid roughly 1500€(KPA) + 500€(remote?) + 500€(ipad).
But if it has to be paid, I'd do (especially given my Mac is too old to run Rig manager ... ). -
Definitely, I'd pay for it +1

Agreed!
iOs and/or Android solutions would be great. -
Sure, +1.

+1. I'd be willing to pay for this. And, in all honesty, I'd rather have an iPad or iPhone app over an OS X app. I'm sure not everyone feels the same way, but I'd love it.
I know Kemper has put a lot of work into these apps, even though they are simply a manager of rigs, not an actual editor, that many people have been requesting for a long time. But, as a suggestion for the developers, building out Rig Manager in something like Qt or Titanium Appcelerator would ensure the UI stays consistent across all platforms (OS X and Windows), PLUS a few extra steps, and that app is now available for iOS and Android. I'm not positive on the development process, but it seems, at least to me, that the Windows RM and OS X RM apps are developed independently, not from one framework. This would cut development time by a percentage (probably not 50%, maybe more like 33%), which means more and better features can get out faster. Honestly, the costs for redevelopment and an Apple App Store license would pay for itself in no time if you list it for $10 or so on the App Store and the Google Play store.

+1 for me too. iPad:)
