using the Kemper with power amp and cabs or FRFR

I presently use my AXE FX II with a Matrix power amp and 2 cabs as well as with 2 ELX112P's for a FRFR setup.

I am wanting to pick up a Kemper....can I do them same using the Kemper's main L/R outputs? The manual just shows these as going to FOH and the monitor output to use with a power amp and cab....but it is only mono.

Yes, you can use the main outs.

At the moment you cannot run stereo Cabs at the same time as stereo FRFR monitors. You can do what you're looking for, but the guitar cabs will have a mono Signal (or dual mono, but stereo)

When you say "At the moment you cannot run stereo Cabs at the same time as stereo FRFR monitors" does that mean that the hardware has the capability but at the moment the firmware does not support it...although it may in the future?

This has been requested but apparently it would be very DSP intensive and subtract resources that are planned for other things

Yes, you can. Just connect the Main Left and Right signals to your ELX112Ps, and then connect the Link Output jacks in your ELX112Ps to FOH.

He mean run in stereo real cabs with cab off having cab on for a stereo signal to FOH. You can't do it

To clarify: monitor out can be stereo but cab cab off will only be mono (on monitor out, that is). This is due to CPU resources and it hasn't been decided if this behaviour will be changed in the future.

OTOH, the OP has not specified whether he\she is going to sell the Axe... if this is not the case, the KPA can be run in the Axe's loop, as specified elsewhere on this board (see the wiKPA for complete reference) and the cabs' setup can be kept.

Hi Guys....thanks for all the responses!

I just realized that I was a little vague in my opening post and should clarify that I intend to run into EITHER my Matrix GT1000FX into 2 cabs OR into 2 ELX112P Powered FRFR Monitors. I will only be running one setup at a time and I will NOT be needing to send a signal to FOH. This is really just for my home studio use.

I just wanted to make sure I could use the Main L/R output...either XLR to go to the ELX112P's OR 1/4" to go to the Matrix.

I REALLY like it! I have not tried too many other FRFR options though other than the Q12.
