OS 11.1: USB MIDI on the USB A port has stopped working (Solved)

Dear Kemper technical support team,

My name is Wilson, and I am the designer of the PaintAudio Midi Captain series controller and a user of the Kemper Profiling Amplifier (KPP). I have recently updated my KPP to the latest OS 11.1, and I have noticed that external USB MIDI devices connected via the USB A port no longer function properly.

Not only am I experiencing this issue, but several of my friends who use the MIDI Captain + KPP combination for live performances are also encountering the same problem. They may face critical situations in their live performances due to the loss of MIDI control.

I have tried reverting the OS to the release version in Rig Manager 3.7, which restored the normal USB MIDI control, indicating that this issue is indeed directly related to the recent update to version 11.1. Also I see the USB-B port which the USB MIDI device function is active, I'm not sure if this new OS update had moved the USB MIDI from host to device protocol.

I hope you can assist us in resolving this problem.

Are you planning to implement some usability for the 4+4 FX in level 3 in the captain?

I was also wondering if morphing would be possible with a second press on the rig buttons. Using the Mini 6. Great product!

Dear Kemper team I have now some issues as well using a midi controller VOES MX6. It works most of the time, but once in a while a midi message blocks the player and I need to restart the machine. THis happens only since the player software update

Yes, I'm waiting to upgrade to level 3 and implement appropriate MIDI adaptation designs. However, this will have to wait until the current issues are resolved to ensure completion.

Downgrade to the latest official release. This is the risk with installing beta versions. Don’t do it if you rely on your Kemper to work.

Grateful for the prompt fix to the KPP firmware update. have tested the 11.1.1, and the USB MIDI HOST function is now working perfectly.

Will update to the Lv3 soon!
