My remote screen went dim and the writing almost scratchy looking for band practice. I restarted the unit and although it worked fine it did not fix it. When I came up to the house and plugged it into my other KPA it worked fine -ideas?
Hi Burkhard, I've updated to 5.0.3 but I cant find all the new delays (like freq. shift, melody etc.) Are these only in a beta version of something even newer?
5.0 introduced a bunch of new delays. However the pitch shifter delays you are listing were introduced in 5.1, which is currently available as a Public Beta (5.1.1). If you check out the ReadMe or the Addendum manual that comes with each software revision, you see exactly what is in and what is not.
I loaded OS 5.1 beta. Immediate issue. It seems like the gain in the profiles drops out within 10-15 seconds leaving a dry sound. No visible changes to gain or stomps. Turn off... Re start... Same thing occurs. So I reloaded OS 5.0.3 release.... Now that does the same. Thoughts? Help?
This issue has been reproduced. It is caused by Pedal Volume diving at the exact moment a Remote comes to live. If Volume Pedal is located Pre Stomps, this lowers the gain level. So temporary fix ist to move the Volume Pedal once after start. Permanent fix is included in 5.1.0.
We identified another scenario, where pedal values could jump accidentally, when the Remote starts, if the Remote's pedal sockets are assigned - which is the case by default - and nothing is connected. This will be fixed in the next revision. Temporary fix is to set pedal sockets not in use to "off".
Hi - I was wondering if you could help me. My Kemper keeps switching into Tuner mode right in the middle of me playing. Sometimes I could switch out if it and other times I have to totally reboot. Any suggestions what the issue might be? Thank you for your time - Frank
Is a Remote connected? Perhaps it's Tuner switch is defective. Or is any MIDI equipment connected? Is it the Tuner screen as if the chickenhead is put into Tuner position (with Reference Pitch at bottom left)? Or is it the Tuner screen with "Pedal Volume is 0 (Mute) at the bottom? A volume pedal at heel or MIDI CC#7 value 0 could activate tuner as well. You could check in the System Settings on page Pedal Links, where the pedal volume stands. And if it is at minimum you can check further why.

Sorry, for the late reply, you probably figured it out in the meantime. In context of stomps and effects there is a fundamental difference between turning TYPE or BROWSE knob. You can read about it in the manual, there is also a support FAQ. If a Stomp or Effect Module is open, TYPE is the way to select any of the stomp/effect types included in a software revision..
i noticed that in the 3.0...etc versions in the Performance mode...if you would add 1 or more effects to a preset you were able to just step on the preset button again and it would default back to the preset...(on 3.0 versions etc) this no longer works on the new 4.0 versions
Mist (schon wieder) zu früh gefreut, also es funktioniert nur mit dem Chicken head (Remote hab ich nicht, alles per Midi...), hoffe ich nerv nicht...? War wohl etwas vorschnell. Danke für Deine Geduld...
nur zur Info, nachdem ich heute den Kemper gestartet habe, hat der Tuner-MUTE wieder funktioniert. So wie whippinpost91850 geschrieben hat, ein simples rebooting hat geholfen...
Hallo Burkhard, so langsam zweifle ich ob mein Kemper noch in Ordnung ist. Mal ehrlich, die Top Jimi Profile können nicht ernst gemeint sein. Ok zwei drei sind dabei die einigermaßen gut klingen, aber ich die RCF sma dran und ohne etwas zu tweaken die marshall sounds aufgerufen. so ein Mist hab ich selten gehört. Wenn ich auf ein vergleichbares ungetweaktes Rig von Guido Bungenstock gehe sind da Lichtjahre an Qualität dazwischen, auch ohne zu tweaken. Da muss man mal in die JCM 800 oder JTM Profile reinhören. Das afd rig von top jimi kann man doch keinem anbieten, oder gibt es Geheimeistellungen für die rigs. Ich hab alles auf neutral, die rcf dran und es klingt einfach bescheiden. Lade ich ein rig von z.B. Guido oder auch sinmix geht die Sonne auf. Das gleiche gilt für mich für die hochgelobten mbritt rigs, auch die klingen besch.. ich hatte die RCF bei Euch im Messebus das erste mal getestet.und hab sie mir dann gleich gekauft. Bei etlichen rigs klingt sie einfach nur gut aber die jimis gehen gar nicht. Hast du die mal über die rcf angehört? Der Post ist nicht böse gemeint, ich möchte nur verstehen was hinter so einer veröffentlichung steckt, so schräg kann ich mit meien Ohren doch nicht liegen, wenn tonnenweise andere rigs auf Anhieb gut klingen, oder mach ich was falsch wenn ich erstmal alles neutral eingestellt lasse? Ich hab halt nicht viel Lust zu tweaken. Gruß Frank.
Danke für das Feedback! Top Jimi hat uns Rigs zur Verfügung gestellt und wir haben dann mit sechs Ohren ausgewählt und die Rigs anschließend gemäß unserer Standards formatiert und getaggt. Wir schauen z. B., ob alle Rigs ungefähr auf einem Volume-Niveau liegen. Der Rest ist - denk ich - ganz viel Geschmackssache und auch abhängig von der Abhörumgebung und Spielsituation. Deshalb picke ich jetzt z. B. auch nicht nur Rigs heraus, die mir persönlich toll gefallen. Ich weiß von meinen Tests und User-Backups her, dass mir auch vieles nicht gefällt, was andere grandios finden. Wir bieten diese Rigs kostenfrei an und jeder kann sich ja aussuchen, was gefällt. Ich selbst verwende am Ende vielleichtzehn bis maximal zwanzig Basissounds.
