questions for KPA player owners

  • The Profiler Model referred to in this thread is ...
    ☑️ Profiler Player

Hi, my students are mostly equipped with players & I own a toaster, I'd really appreciate some guidelines about these PLAYER topics

    1. As there is no store button , how do you store your rigs in a live situation , typical exemple is when you set up you sound for a bar PA , tweak it to perfection and want to save the whole rig & output section settings. Is it possible or do you need an external device , phone or pc ?
    2. Does performance mode allow some bank management or is it complementary to banks , how to set them ?

Thanks , any help will be appreciated.

  • 1. You press and hold the corresponding Rig button. I’m not in front of the Player right now, but you can choose which slot you want to save your rig to.
    2. If I understand the question right, you can move between banks. There is no separate performance mode per se, but it’s very similar.

  • Thx Torbiz, I have to investigate this perf mode on the player , but thet long press on rig will really help my users.

The player's Rig manager is really light vs the toaster, no input sense presets are available ??? I mean you cannot save them , I have like 20 input sense presets on my toaster :o

  • Another question, where is the lock option on the player & rig manager ? I could not use it as I do very often on my toaster :(

    Salut Renaud,

@700€ I highly regret the lack of these critical features , lock, input presets , FX limits ... even the output parameters lack the great out EQ ...

I would not personally buy it, while it's highly transportable, other modern options seems better priced.

Yes, there are many limitations i hope that disappeared and will be unlocked.

I understand that Kemper didn't want to purpose a half price device that brings all the same possibilities as big brothers but i suggested to offer the unlock feature for already Kemper owners.... I assume your students are not in this case...

  • Input Presets can be created and used at the Player.

Thx Burkhard, how do we do that ? no store button , we only managed to store the whole rig.

The process is the same for all presets and all PROFILER models in Rig Manager:

To create a preset drag & drop a module - in this case the Input module - into the All Presets area either into your Player or into your Local Library.

To load a preset it's the other way around. Drag & drop the preset from All Presets into an appropriate module.
