Played with my Player with Blutooth streaming 3/4 times since my last message ; the problem seems solved ; Player is stable, no crash !

Thank you so much Thomas !!!

If i understand it correctly ; OP wants to have the possibility to change slots in a performance and coming back to the first one having the last changed done (but not the stored rig)... I think it corresponds to edit's behavior when a tab or a PC is connected to rig manager....

I definitely prefer the 2.0 profiles personally. I have tried them on both Mark 2 Rack and Mark 1 Powered Toaster. Although Kemper says that 2.0 are lower resolution on Mark 1 hardware, I don’t hear a meaningful difference. They sound great on both.
I’ve tried it with a few condenser mics too but the SM57 is a known entity so seems like the obvious choice for a simple comparison between the two types of profile which is all I was hoping to achieve.
I read on the manual that to profile V2.0, a PC has to be hooked to the device to select profile V2.0 even for bigger units. is it a must ?
I assume that the computer goes farther than just a simple selection on the process !?
Am i right or not ?
-
Thanks
But V2.0 update can add another gap ?! (or not)

Now it's out, we can try

-
IMO, it would be more coherent to wait the V2.0 update to compare if there's a sound difference ?! I assume there will be none....
Officailly today, the sound is the same between mark I and 2
-
On this demo and the demo he did with MBritt and the Ola V2 Profile demo ..... the Profiles are pretty much excellent however its clear to my ears that the Profile is ever so slightly under-gained compared to the real Amp.
If this is a consistent "thing" ...... hopefully this is an easy fix before going Public Release
Pesonnally I don't hear a gain difference (but didn't listen to everything). Cause, i've stopped judging Utube's devices sounds comparisons till the day i couldn't hear a difference between a Stage and a Helix on some of them. But when i play those both units at home ; it's night and day. We are guitarist, not only audience, we have an interaction and a reaction between our playing and the instrument/rig....
I retain here the aspect of "More Airy, 3D effect" (described by T.Dill too) --> we will be able to discover that only by ourselves...
-
Do you mean FRFR from main output ?
It would be logical as the Kone récognition is not there on this case...
-
In a way, I'm a little disappointed as the longer it goes on, the more likely people will get fed up and sell their MK2, so I was hoping to pick up a bargain ha!
Seriously I am joking, just hope they don't sell out now!!!
I watched the used mark I units on the market today 😉
Imo, the bargain is going to be there really soon 😉
The first heads are around 500/600€

I found the information in the Player manual (p57/182) ; it seems it's only in the cab section (so for specific rigs if you want to ; it seems logical)
" For specific situations, e.g. temporarily playing bass guitar through a studio or merged PROFILE of a bass amp, you can enforce full-range mode by selecting “Full-Range“ from the Imprint Select options found within the cabinet module."

Another confirm il will be out This Week
Tomorrow or thursday, Please !!!
Off Topic ; This week-end i visit your country Sollazzon

I'm not sure what this means...........................................................^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
In imprint mode (all ticked), you can select "FRFR" (first place in the list if i'm right), don't remember if it's only in the cab section and/or in the output section but it offers the possibility to have a V30 imprint for all rigs and if you want FRFR for a specific rig you can have it too by this way

-
2 vids on Profiles V2.0 today, we gonna have it soon !!!

-
That got me a bit closer actually. I thought that the Kone had something to do with the imprints. I guess, that I have learned a valuable lesson here, that the Kone and the imprints are non-related, kinda.
Regarding the monitor cab on/off: You mean in the output page on the setting for "Monitor Out"? Enabled or not. Or do you mean ON/OFF in the "Monitor Out" and ON/OFF in the "Kemper Kone"? There are these two places for the cab ON/OFF. How does these two affect each other? It's find it pretty difficult to comprehend.
A completely secondary question: If wanting to have imprints on 1 rig and IR on another rig, how do I go about that? I thought that I had that down. Apparently I didn't.
You've got 4 possibilties for the monitor output ;
- You've got a FRFR monitor, so you just have to plug it to monitor output
- You've got a traditional speaker ; tick the Cab Off ; your cab sim will be disabled for monitor output (a must have ;))
- You have a Kone and you want FRFR for all your rigs ; just tick "KONE", it'll compensate Kone's curve to have the flattest one...
- You have a Kone and want to have "amp in the room", tick "Kone" On AND "monitor cab Off" On too

In the output section, you define what imprint you want to apply by default (to all rigs).
In the cab section, you can choose a different imprint --> It'll be apply only on this specific rig.
If you want to apply FRFR, you can, either in the output section or in a specific rig via the cab block.
If you have no cab section in your rig, the Kone switch automatically in FRFR mode. For example for an acoustic rig

I agree with you guys !
i took typical example just to give the idea of sound differences.
You go farther and purpose to mix amp/cabs beyond those examples ; why not, it's a possibility.
I believe we agree in the end ; if OP takes a Creamback, a Greenback, a Jensen, an Alnico blue, etc.... He will be linked to this solution (that represents an important part of the final sound).... If he takes a FRFR or a Kone, he will be able to add and try every cab he wants..
-
I think it's a shame not to use all the potential of modelers/profilers by choosing a traditional guitar speaker.
I know some here likes this solution (i don't pretend the sound is bad) but it'll stay a mystery for me why having such a versatile tool to restrain it with a particular speaker. A Marshall amp into a Jensen is weird and a Fender into a greenback won't sound as clean/neutral as it should/could....
If you choose one guitar speaker over the other, whatever amp profile you choose they'll sound close to the other one.... Personally, i would recommand a FRFR solution or a Celestion F12-X200 put into a guitar cab or a KONE or Kabinet (to go farther with "Imprints").
-
I agree with you with AI questions (practical, philosophical (and even ecological)), and in certain aspects i fear about how our futur can turn....
I understand that it seems to be complicated to extract the sound and let the machine processes.... But i'm not part of it, so i don't know if it's really or not.
I wanted to defend OP's request and underlines we can use new technologies to save time without preventing us from improving our playing or/and knowledges....
IMO, the simplest way today, should just be to separate AI from Kemper and ask it (as i did for some songs) ; I wanna play Roxanne, i own a Kemper, what amp sim should i use, what effects should i use, where do i place them in the chain and what are the parameters for each block of my rig ; done.
-
I read all the comments and was about to agree with you guys (I do
).But, looking back, I think we start falling in the old school team.
Technologies have constantly evolved. I assume that the first electric guitar players were told that it's not music anymore.... I still hear that analog devices are far better than our multi-effects toys

OP purposed just a solution based on a new current tool to find our sound faster....It doesn't mean to play music in our place....
Of course, we can achieve this quest by searching on dedicated forums, read what artists used on this album/soung, search on Rig exchange (when the song name/artist/guitarist is indicated

), etc....It reminds me when our mathematics teacher told us he knew his exponential tables by heart when he was young
. Ok man, we have calculators nowdays, 2 clicks ; done. We still had to know the exponential shape and analyse if the value was correct or not, the approach is not the same due to tools but the most important is the goal.I know, you have acquired your knowledges by another way and you could create a rig really quickly on this base.
But, does it mean, with this AI tool, we will not learn to play the notes or won't copy artist's playing style to get closer ? Does it mean we won't be able to experiment stuffs (moving blocks to hear what the impact is, etc) ? NO, but it's another work and, IMO, this solution frees up our time to play instead of searching.... So why not....
-
No anxiety at all here.

When it will come out it will come out, we'll see how good it will be but in the meantime absolutely no problem here, everything is working Good.
Chi va piano, va sano !

Kemper's strength lies in its tone, which, as long as it's not inferior to competitors, can be compensated for in other ways (New MK2 machines). However, the effects chain of the Kemper main unit itself is locked by its hardware architecture (multi-link effects brands like QC, etc.), so unless Kemper makes significant progress in tone, its future product advantages are questionable.
I don't know how Kemper could make "significant progress in tone" as it's already really good, it'll more an "improvement" IMO....
But i agree, Mark II are limited by the same hardware....
-
If you look at digital video, it doesn't always just look better with more resolution. We just need to wait and hear it.
I agree with you.
When i bought my Stage, opinions were unanimous overall ; Kemper was the best for amp/cab sound. This was one of the reason i bought one, and i have to admit that instantly after receiving my device i noticed it was night and day between profiling VS modeling....
With the arrival of competitors in "tone catching" and null tests, it's a little confusing, null tests seems to indicate that Profiles are not the closest but some users still prefer what comes out from Kemper...
I hope we won't prefer Profile V1.0 vs V2.0
