My personal favourite:
Down Up I II III IIII
1 2 3 4 5 Tap
To use external expression-pedals is ok for me, it keeps the KFC smaller. I prefer f.e. the solid quality of a Boss FV-500, much better than most pedals on midi-controllers.

I did never like attached expression pedal because I prefer to choose exactly where I place it. For the lefty users amongst us having the pedal at the right is not especially interesting.
My vote goes:
Up Down I II III IIII
1 2 3 4 5 Tap
Just seems more natural for me to go up in a rig list than to go down.

I do not care what and how.
I am only interested in when!
Stil playing my Ractal Audio with MFC.
Money is burning for Kemper Rack but only with dedicated footcontroller.
So when??

Down Up I II III IIII

I also like the idea of external expression pedals, I only need one but I'd like to be able to switch that one between wha and volume.
I use a FCB1010 now and it's way to big and the pedals feels 'cheap'.

I am not so worried about the pedal layout, but I'm very interested in another question: will the KPC display be a mirror of the main display on the KPA?
Using extensively the Performance Mode, I'd really like to see on the pedalboard the slot names, maybe with a larger font than on the KPA.
Otherwise I think that I will be forced to spend a lot of money on a RJM or Liquid Foot controller, to have the small displays above each switch...
...will the KPC display be a mirror of the main display on the KPA?
An important question, indeed. Any information about that? One of the great disadvantages using the FCB1010 is the missing display and of course the cheap exp-pedals.

The display should reflect all informations (or adjustable by software?) like the KPA. But i would prefer for performance mode to have the slot names with large font and the performance name smaller. I think it has been already discussed in another thread. Maybe it could be switchable for the KFC. So every user could decide which information is important for him.

+1
+1.
Yeah. One can more easily get confused about slots than about performances, unless you have to gapless play two songs and haven't rearranged your performances accordingly.
I'll vote for the 2nd one as well. If the up/down are fixed on the left of row 2, having up to the very left would be my preference. Also, I'd like to echo some earlier users who have said they would like to have the capability to press the bank up/down switch, then not activate the new rig until one of the 12345 switches are pressed. That would work well for a lot of users I expect.
So my vote is:
Up, down, I, II, III, IIII
1,2,3,4,5, tap
But either way would work fine I'm sure.

+1 on not activating the new rig until pressed.
Does anyone know the estimated size? Will it fit in the big pocket of the KPA bag?
nope. it's gonna be the bigger one. unfortunately:
Dimensions
About 19 x 42 cm or 7.5 x 16.5 inch for the bigger one.
About 19 x 35 cm or 7.5 x 13,8 inch for the smaller one.Price will not be affected by the dimensions.
we tried though, long ago...:

Shoot. So now I don't know whether to take the Namba bag or not. I hate that. (why do people need surf tables for pedalboards?)
Finally!
I love creative and uncommon approaches to solve problems.
