... As if we needed that

After 846 posts in this thread I assume that the Kemper team is well aware of our interest... but... enough is never enough so,
SMALLER!!!!!!
LOL!!!
-
Damn right, smaller.
I want 12 buttons in a floorboard the size of my Polytune Nano, with jacks for five expression pedals.

Somewhat convinced the 'switching rigs faster' improvement needed to be implemented before the release of a KPA foot controller.
As a potential KPA buyer for mostly live use, this is concerning! How much time does it take to switch from one patch to the next?

Before the 2.6 update, a couple of milliseconds (about 250). Now it's pretty instantaneous, so don't worry about it.

I really hope we see it by then......and that we don't have to wait another 6 months to get one.
-
I hope it works as a general midi controller as well as a dedicated Kemper mode.

I don't think so. It is suppose to be a KPA dedicated foot controler. But the Kemper itself has a midi out so it will most probably be possible to control other devices from the KFC via the KPA midi out.

The small one. But with expression pedal so it would be about the same size as the bigger one.

This.

I don't think it'll be a generic midi controller. Apparently, they're going to use an ethernet or CAT5 or some kind of cable like that for communication with the Kemper.

They should learn from Fractals mistakes. They used Cat5 and found its was problematic for many customers and replaced it with FASLINK which uses a regular XLR cable, which is more robust and easier to replace then ethernet.

Maybe more robust but certainly not easier to replace, cat5 is utterly dirt cheap in the UK at least.

They found professionals who used the system in performance situations always could find an extra XLR cable if the primary one failed for some reason. Cat5 cables were a little harder to get in an emergency situation where another was needed right now . And the cables failed quite often .

I thought FASLINK was "proprietary" to AXE-Fx.

When you guys say it won't work as a generic controller you mean it will lack MIDI ports?
Do we have hints that this will be the case? -
