Select a preset folder before you try to import impulse responses or Drag&Drop onto one You cannot import them to a rig or performance location. Is that your issue?
Ah ok I was able to import them in to all presets > local library > self created IR folder. Nice thank you assuming those automatically convert? Do I have still have to use the physical device to load them in a profile? I converted and imported a handful via USB a few days back. Would like to modify a cab on the "fly" while a profile is loading in browser mode.
Thank you for the reply.

No - you can Drag and Drop from the Presets folder you created into a Rig's or Performance Slot's Cabinet.
Roger that...thanks!
It's maybe a stupid question but where do I get IR's?
There are thousands of free ones online - search Google for “Free cabinet IRs”.
Are those diffrent file-types? and the Rig Manager can handle them all? or are they all standardised?
Some like Redwirez will give you some free samples if you provide an e-mail at the bottom of home page. Seacow Cabs are all free. As paults noted there is an abundance of samples - free available.
IR (impulse response) is a snap shot of sound so to speak. Should be able to find something here.
Wait a minute. I'm really confused. I have IRs (all .wav files). Do I have to first convert them to kemper cabs using the cab maker (or whatever it's called) and then load them up on the RM as a preset file, then drag and drop on the cab section of a profile? Is this called "dragging and dropping IRs"? I think I'm missing an important detail here. Can you please help?
I think I can assist. What I have been doing (seems to be correct) with the last version of Rig Manager is:
Created a folder named IR's under my presets. Within it I created some sub-folders. This one named Seacow is a fellow who created and distributes his freely. I take the desired IR and drag it into the empty field associated with the folder or directly into the folder itself. The file converts to Kemper format on it's own. Once an amp is opened I drag the IR onto the cab block at the bottom of screen.
Only trick is once the file is in it's desired saved folder I have to click to another folder then come back into the folder with the desired IR (which then makes it seems live and ready to go). Does not make much sense but seems to work.
Hope this helps and have fun. I am no Kemper or IR expert but this seems to work for me.

When testing different IR's, I just open a second window of RM. In the first window I choose my rigs and in the second window I have my IR folders.
When double clicking on any IR in a folder it loads instantly into the cab section of the rig chosen in window 1. So you can try out IR very fast by just going through the IR list.
Thanx for the replies guys. But I can not get it done. I'm on a Mac. RM version: 3.0.111 (16175). I created an IR's folder under my Local Files directory in RM. I open my IR's folder in the finder. I drag and drop the .wav IR file directly from finder (Mac OS) on to the IR's folder on RM but the RM just doesn't accept the file. No messages nor anything.
It won't let you place directly in to the folder either? Perhaps someone with MAC expertise can chime in. I know I experienced that and it was the type of file I was trying to drag into RM. Wish I could help with your issue.
How about if you convert the file in cab maker, save it, then try to import into RM. Any luck there?
I think you're dragging to the wrong place.
Try the Local Library under All Presets. You can also make folders there to keep it organized.
hink you're dragging to the wrong place.

Yes this!

Solid tip!

Thanx man it worked! But it really makes no sense to me I mean they're both "Local Library". Anyways. Thank you all!
Glad it worked for you
The difference is that everything under Presets are components, like effects, cabinets, etc. Your IR's are cabs. The top local library is only for full rigs, however you might organize them.
