had a kemper power head and never liked the power amp in it - so I'm back to try the Kemper stage with a power amp - was looking at the orange Baby pedal? thanks for any thoughts on this.

Consider the Seymour Duncan Powerstage. 170 model is mono, and the 700 is stereo.

There's a good pedal manufacturer in brazil, called ToneInk, that makes a power amp pedal, which is intended to not colour sounds from kemper, you should check out that!

i think he also ship to another coutries. -
The only thing is its class D and that worries me, because of my power head experience - the PH seemed really Flat, with nothing jumping out at me in the sound, had to dial out a lot of bass too- could have been me, it was a couple of years ago. really the Katana made me start to think more about the kemper and going class AB power. the Duncan does look like a great solution so tiny thanks

very happy with the orange baby pedal - sounds great - my kemper power head was back in 2013 so things have changed a bit. This new Kemper stage sounds better then what i remember - that was a long time ago to be fair - great to be back

Magnum 44 might be something to look at if you're looking for something that's portable

I compared the Seymour Duncan 170 with the internal poweramp of the head. After 10 Minutes the Salesperson and I agreed: There is no difference in Sound whatsoever.

I'd go with a Fryette Power Station 2.

Because the powermodules in both the Seymour Duncan Power Stages are from IcePower.

Seymour Duncan PS-170.

I was originally using the Orange Pedal Baby 100 and it is a great amp for going into a guitar cab. I had purchased this before I sold my former Helix and purchased my Kemper stage. Now that I own a Kemper I would recommend the On of the Seymour Duncan Power Stage units. The main reason I now recommend the PS unit over the PB is due to the PB 100 not being able to push to a 4 ohm cab. The Kemper cab is 4 ohm and if you have plans to pick one up the PB 100 will not wok with it unless you wire up a 212 cab to get up to 8 ohms.
Now with all that said, the PB 100 is an amazing amp and if you are going into an 8 or 16 ohm guitar cab it sounds and feels amazing
Here is my review of the PB 100

HoTone Loudster Portable Power Amp, 75 W, 4-16 Ohm
From Thomann for 144 EUR.
I use it with Kone and am quite satisfied.
At home I turn the volume max to 30%.
It is surprisingly loud & no colorization

I think this is the same poweramp as in the HoTone BritWind which I have been using for some rehearsals.
And yes, it’s loud and sounds great!
