Congrats on your new kemper!
Here is an interesting thread on TGP where several floor units are compared size wise, including the new kemper stage.

So I placed my order weds eve in the Kemper store when it went live but as yet I have no update on my order. Seems like everyone else’s have shipped and are being delivered but mine is not going anywhere. It Just says ‘your order has not been processed yet’
Anyone else order on weds eve and still not shipped? I’m in the UK if that makes any difference.
I have submitted a email to the store to find out the issue.Looking forward to being a Kemper owner again!

Yes, same here!
Placed order on Kemper store on wednesday evening, but no news of shipping yet and same 'your order has not been processed yet' message.
Be nice to know it was on it's way to the UK.
I'm guessing there is a backlog of orders to process and label up (?)

Glad to know its not just me!
I'm sure Kemper are on it, was just concerned there may have been an issue with the order.

If you received the confirmation that your order has arrived in our system you will receive the product asap. We are currently planning to start shipping early next week.

Thanks for the update and confirmation- appreciate it. So none are shipping today then? My order status says ready for shipping now.

I have 2 questions about Stage model :
- is it possible to set Space parameter on monitor stereo output ? I actually use monitor output on my rack for ear monitoring, and I really like the Space effect on earphone out. It would be a nice addition to get it on monitor out too.
- is there a way to easily migrate rigs / settings from a kpa rack to stage ? As they don't operate the same OS, I'd say no, but still...

Yep to everything. Consider Stage like any other Profiler
Generally speaking, it's always possible to load rigs created in an older KAOS version, while the other way round might not work depending on the intrinsic characteristics of profile files.

Thanks for the reply.
I know that my actual profiles will work on Stage, but I suggested migration with backup / restore feature. It seems that a kpa backup contains everything, including KOS. If I backup my rack in v6.0 and I restore it on the stage, what will happen ?

backups do not include the kaos.bin

I made a feature request for space on monitor out a while back. Glad to hear there’s more of us that miss it when in ear monitoring
On my Kemper stage i will use the headphone out to my in ear and take my other mixed signals into the Kemper, Cause i want that space!

Guys, do you have an idea when the new OS will be available for toasters and rack units?

It is avaliable today as beta version.

Is it me or is the tap tempo much more stable on the Stage? I have OS7 on the Toaster and it's still like a OCD nightmare.
-
I'm curious to know if there are any performance improvements with the new hardware. I know the functionality is virtually the same, but are there improvements in start up time, latency, etc?
-
I wouldn't be surprised if the CPU responsible for the I/O and UI has been updated since it's just an NXP ARM cpu.

Not a fix, but I just turned off the LED via the system menu (years ago). Might be something to try if it's bugging you.

Haven't been on the forums in a while, got on yesterday and saw the announcement. Very cool.
I just bought my toaster and remote last November, but I feel no buyer's remorse with the release of the Stage. Went to play with some guys last weekend and both fit in my bag, so it's certainly portable enough to suit me. I also enjoy having the head on a stand to make it easy to fool around with things on the fly without having to bend over. That and the fact that I'm mostly a studio rat these days makes the toaster a good fit for me, and just add remote when needed.
That said, if I was gigging on a regular basis this would be a great addition for a grab-it-and-go setup. Load it up with the night's requirements, set it on the stage, and done. Since it's the same type casing as the remote I can attest to the "built like a tank" statement, which is more than I can say for a lot of floor gear I've had over the years. I'm really surprised that it's a full on profiler. I would have guessed a product like this would just be a limited playback only kinda thing. Even that would have been cool.
I think they're going to have more trouble keeping up with demand than they are trying to sell them.
