Hi,
i am new here i have read some forums already about cab pairings and so on but didn't really find anything pertaining to my issues and i hope this is the right place to put this thread. i currently have a Yamaha DXR-10. Just joined a band. simple enough right. Wrong the Yamaha dxr10 just simply doesn't push enough air to compete with a 4X12(really tired of having that line 6 spider tone overbearing and hogging the mix lol). so im looking for either a decent eq pairing cab or a frfr speaker that can compete and punch through, any and all suggestions welcome.
Need Help. looking to push more air. Cab questions.

Have you tried standing the DXR10 up, instead of using it in Monitor position? Doing that will radiate the low end across the floor (pushing air). You can fine tune the amount of low end with the switches on the back of the DXR and with the KPA Output EQ.

Inetresting - I use a 1 x 12 FRFR and have no problem keeing up with a 4 x12. I do also use a regular 4 x12 as well...so do you have the powered or unpowered version?

Unpowered Kemper V8guitar, and yes i have tried the monitor position and standing, i might need to check out my kemper output section maybe im just missing something.

I have a XiTone 1x12 FRFR and it certainly holds its own against my 1960.. not the same of course but it can thump some when it's coupled to the floor.

Unpowered Kemper into a HeadRush FRFR, and I have no problem at all.
