This is a long shot, but you might want to check all volume levels also. I had an issue where I was clipping an input.

Yeah, this is a bug report rather than a feature request. I'm also interested in what could have changed with the recti-shaper.
-
you're right, i added it in the title. But since it is a reques for future updates, my request is that the sound should stay the same ...
and at the moment i can't get the sound back and this hole bandproject relies on that particular sound. I mean thats the burden of finding a unique soundThis isn't a feature request but a bug report. The sound shouldn't change with updates and of it does, it probably isn't intended by Kemper. Remember that you're using beta version. It's quite usual that bugs occur.

thread moved to troubleshooting
-
a negative example is changing the characteristics of some effects. At themoment i have a problem with the rectishaper which i always use on my fuzzier presets
so the 5.0 update destroyed all my fuzz sounds ...First, the updates shouldn't change any sound - if they do, it might be a bug - contact support and provide a backup (from before the upgrade at best). This is the very best you can do to get help.
Secondly, the presets aren't altered by an update - installing the previous version should resolve the problem.Right now, because of the 5.0.0 Public Beta phase, the chances are high that issues are resolved fast.
-
Guys i already have a threat in the troubleshooting area. This is a feature request. I'd love to have updates that don't change the sounds. Some of you said too, that updates can changed the volume or settingsand caused tehn clipping. So even if this problem with the rectishaper is a bug there is still the problem with the levels left and the clipping. So, yeah.
At the moment i'm pretty disappointed, because this sound is so important for me. -
Nope, sadly nothing worked, and now i have to wait till the support is back. because of the Weekend and stuff...
I hope i get that sound back. -
Did you restore the backup that you created before updating to the public beta after downgrading to the release version?
-
So this is a feature request for bug-free betas?
-
Hey! Thanks for the interest. Uhm, i don't get it. Do you mean the backaup of a version that worked? Well i only have backups of the profiles
Is there a possibility of a total reinstall of the kemper or something like that ?
-
Before updating to a public beta you should always create a backup of your files so in case you want to downgrade again to the release version you can restore that backup to have the exact same state as before updating to the public beta.
-
okay, next time i guess I thought i would be enough to make a backup of the profiles ... but what should i do now? I 'mean the rectishaper stomp is now broken. I added a sound sample.
-
sorry, that is not what i meant ...
-
listen to the other guys they also had problem with a change in volume and clipping ... and i guess this is not only beta related i don't now if there is a a way in updating that leaves these parameters untouched ... yeah ...what do i know
-
I only have backups of the profiles and not of the system so what should i do now ? I thought i have on but at the moment i only find my profiles as a backup...
Is there a way to make a total reinstall or something?
an since both threads are now in the troubleshooting area, how can i delete one of them i can't find it.
Anyway thanks for helping guys, i just a bit stressed because so much depends on that sound
-
being a bit more productive would help...
listen to teh other guys they also had problem with a change in volume and clipping ... and i guess this is not only beta related
My volume problem was not with 5.0, so my suggestion was based on all my Kemper experience. Since it's already been stated that the Kemper philosophy is to create releases that do not change the sound of existing rigs, then your problem is either being caused by a bug, or some other change in equipment settings that you've not identified. Did you supply the backup to the support group?
-
Hm yeah i sadly didn't see the importance of doning a system backup since i thought the profiles stay the same.
Being a negative rolemodel sucksSo i only made Backups of the Profiles.
Is there a way for a total reinstall of the kemper
i added the sound here so that you can hear what is going ... if i only touch the strings sometimes the sound comes out normal but as soon as i play the rectishaper compresses everything down to a level where everything is just noise
-
oh and nothing clips, i tried changing the input sensitivity but the bug is only gone as soon as i deactivate the rectishaper
-
How do you made the backups of your profiles?
-
If you safed all your profiles than maybe a flash init helps and you load all your tweaked profiles new.
I dont have the procedure for a flash init by my side because i am not at home, but maybe someone who knows it can share it here.
I have done it one time, than i updated to the newest fw and my problems where solved ( had an issue with harsh sounding rigs) some month ago. -
