I would love this!
Can we please get some kind of Kemper Editor Software for your computer
-
-
One is enough!
-
I do want an editor made by Christoph Kemper.
-
Maybe we can start a Kickstarter and hire the guy who is wrapping up programming on the V2 version of the Amplifire editor
-
Midi NRPN and Sysex implementation should be sufficient to do everything other than load rigs. Presets are also not readable AFAIK. The Toaster editor project by @virango is open source and he has a github repo for it.
I haven't tried Toaster yet. What are it's deficiencies? Have you posted issues on the github?

It could be nice to have an editor... but i like the simplicity of the kemper.
Having to connect it to a laptop takes some simplicity away -

Having to connect it to a laptop takes some simplicity awayAgreed. I just don't tweak my rigs enough to worry about a "better" interface.
-
My thoughts are it could be used for recording and keeping the fit in the mix sound when you play live.
If there was a DAW plugin editor you could do editing in your DAW but have it saved on the Kemper as well.

By setting by hand my kpa, my arm hurts.
It's not like setting an analog amp for three minutes, we can spend hours adjusting the machine, and all the rigs and performances to get THE sound.
-
Yep! Bad eyes and Sore fingers . If you have to lean over ( as I do) it really becomes a mission to adjust the knobs for a long time while trying to get "the tone" Agreed Rook!
-
I said this probably several times, it's the weirdest thing that a digital device doesn't have a computer editor!! Even new refrigerators can be controlled using a computer or a smart phone.
Let's not forget that Rig Manager is already the foundation of a full fledged editor, many things can be done using RM. I no longer audition any profiles by loading them in the KPA, you can audition everything in the rig exchange from Rig Manager, that's a very good start (renaming and deleting rigs, etc..is already In RM)

Please my Lord, give us a big editor..........arHHH.
-
We are on century 21, all devices have a editor, I didn´t understand why we still waiting for an editor.
We paid more than 1600€ for an amazing electronic machine that cannot be controlled by a software, this doesn´t make sense.
Anyone from Kemper can reply or create a post if is it something that you have in mind ?
Thank you

What do you mean by "editor"?
This is serious question. -
Editor = control our Kemper for Effects, Cabinet editor for add or delete cabinet impulses for example.
If we can mange inside each Profile this parameters (Effects and Cabinet controls) it will be AMAZING!!!!
-
Once the verbs will be on par with the new delays, we'll have a fully autonomous guitar computer unit.
Having such an incredible tool without an editor may be it's weakest point IMO , ATM managing et setting up the FXs is really unproductive for instance. CAB management is also difficult now.
I really wish we have an editor over USB , maybe integrated with Rig manager.
-
I too was baffled to find that such an option doesn't exist. I just can't express how weird it feels to spend 2hrs fiddling with parameters on this tiny display, scrolling through pages of settings while i have two 2560x1440 Monitors in front of me doing nothing.
Every other major contender in the market has a editor of some sorts. It nearly made me buy the helix, but the kemper just sounds to good I'm really hoping, that there's something coming... -
ive pretty much giving up on it . i would think there would be some word of one if it was in the works. too bad ,as it seems that many of us want one .

Kemper is different by design from other modelers, please check my previous post in this thread.
Simply - imagine having 9000 amps on the list, while creating signal chain. 9000 amps not on the device, but on the internet (Rig Exchange).
You want to create new "rig". First you choose what amp you want to use. Where are the amps stored? Not in KPA device (ok there may be some). The repository of amps is called
Rig Exchange and in contains now almost 9000 amps (each profile contains 1 amp), the same with cabs...I would like to have an editor as we know from competitors, but it would require much resources to do such thing in this case.

I honestly don't think that's the reason, they can limit the amps and the cabs to what resides inside the Kemper Hardware, could they not?
