with 4x12 , store stuff escaped out for cigarette break ...they are so polite ..I wish they rather smoked cigars (need 30 minutes for proper Cubana)

my humble "studio" is in a mess , and in the middle or rearranging ..lots of new stuffs happening .. .but Ambrosi amplified Kemper sounded amazing through Mesa 2x12 (150 W total power ,) Marshall 2x12 cab (same power) ...but , surprisingly the best sound was through small 1x12 hand made cab , with 25 W Green Back ???It was the best sound I achieved with Kemper up to date ...born for Blues and Rock ....so organic and warm tone ..I am sold ...Thanks to Lance for borrowing his Kemper ...maybe I will return it to him , or maybe not ? What do you suggest

Greenback in a 1X12 cab is the best? I'm sure Ingolf will be pleased to read that!
Of course it will totally depends on which profile you use at the end.
What I understand from reading you is that the power will not be an issue!

Yes, Green Back 1x12 ...specific profile is my new "the best " rig up to date PW Soft Egg Blues Driver (Danke Tom) .... add some gain, add Pure Booster, add Lead Booster with ducking parameter on 3 pm (so you rather get sustain than saturation on pick) ,than roll down volume on guitar ..and voila ! That warm, brownish sound can kill 90% of today's top, boutique amps costing $ 2.500 plus ...and then M Britt Dumble ....If I hide the Kemper out of site , nobody on this world will tell this is not the real 25 W Dumble amp ....

I mounted the Ambrosi today, which was as easy as described above by Rescator.
Before I mounted it I was a little concerned about one of the printed circuit boards inside.
I was afraid it was possibly not mounted correctly and maybe in danger of breaking because of being mounted on 2 screws only. Mailed back and forth with Gianfranco who contacted Andrea Ambrosi and assured me there was no danger.
Nonetheless I did an additional fixing of the PCB with a little wire sideways to the transformator (which you see in pic 1).
Afterwards mounting was easy.
Played my new Palmer 1x12" Greenback 25W afterwards and it was great. (It was very loud, too, but not as loud as the CLR or DXR of course). It's a damn fine little rig and I'm happy for that retrofit.

May I ask? What is CLR and DXR? Thank you

I refer to the Yamaha DXR 10 and the Atomic CLR (which can beseen in pic 3 in the background)
These are the active FRFR cabs I usually use (and will continue to use in most live settings). -

Of course not. That Stratocaster is BLUE

I assume Max volume was 32w at 16 ohms ?
The ATM-70 outputs 30 W @ 16 ohm.
While it might sound like splitting hair, it's important to realize that a value expressed in watt can't give information about the acoustic volume an audio system can generate.
You'll need a cab in order to produce acoustic volume: the sound pressure will depend on the cab's frequency response, diffusion pattern (directivity) and sensitivity. When standing right in front of a cab, the most meaningful parameter which determines volume is the cab's sensitivity (that is, how many dBs the loudspeaker produces per each watt the power amp outputs).
A cab whose sensitivity is higher than 100 dB\1 W\1 m, driven by a 30 W power amp, will for example generate more volume that a cab whose sensitivity is 70 dB\1 W\1 m driven by a 240 W power amp.HTH

Is this amp capable to be as loud as a 50 Watt Marshall set between 2 and 4 on the master volume? I think that's pretty loud.

It's not "proper" nor trivial to compare the two systems. The real comparison should happen between the Ambrosi+cab and the AA\Yamaha, because the efficiency of the cab you use makes a huge difference.
For example, by driving a 4 ohm, 100 dB\1 W\1 m, 1x12" cab the Ambrosi ATM-70 will produce 118 dB @ 1 m. And 122 dB with a 2x12" of the same characteristic.
Also, comparing the SPL you get with the Ambrosi+cab Vs. another system (such as the DXR) at the same Master Volume position on the Profiler is meaningless, since the two poweramps' input sensitivities (Master knob on the DXR, Gain trimmer on the Ambrosi) have to be taken into consideration. This is something JM explained when Ingolf compared his cab and the Yamaha.
It would have been easy for Ambrosi to give the impression of a much louder volume @ the same Master knob position on the Kemper, by just setting the trimmer clockwise (this is something I'd not advise in general but that any owner can do by themselves ). This way you'd get the same (huge) volume (SPL) with the Master on the Profiler set much lower. We did not want to cheat by showing (off) muscles, preferring more headroom and sonic transparencies. Anyway, if you want to impress friends, just rotate the trimmer clockwise and show them how loud the Ambrosi is with the Master Volume on the Kemper set at just 1-2
Hope this clarifies things.

"Loud" and clear .. Yes pun intended. Thank you. Ambrosi is on my horizon.
