Dunlop dvp3 (x) is incredibly smooth and precise.
They produce a smaller version you may like.
i didn't want to spend this much but this really makes a difference in controlling volume.

Thank you all for your replies.
for Kulle:
is a beautifull pedal but i'm looking for something smaller...
is there any pedal smaller as possible that work well as expression pedal (wah and morphing in my case)? -
Thaks Danides.
i saw it. It is beautiful... A little expensive ... But beautiful -

Watch out! You need a high output. There is a difference to other Exp. Pedals! High output is for guitars. Low for keyboards!
Thank you, I'll be careful for that!

Has there been any discussion about light-sensor-based pedals?
I've got a 20 year-old Digitech MC² MIDI-expression pedal I use for keyboards. Even with the incorrectly-matched power supply I've used all these years, it still works smoothly and flawlessly... except for when I have to disconnect and reconnect the power supply if it fades to off - the voltage is way below what it's supposed to be. Even the red on-indicator light only glows at half-strength, but the pedal and also the "DSP" (you can select from 16 flavours of MIDI CC to be transmitted, as well as from all 16 channels via rotary encoders), still function perfectly - not a single glitch in all these years.
The hitherto-unblemished smoothness of this pedal's output has me sold on the light / laser-based approach. In contrast, I've a 30 year-old Roland pot-based MIDI-volume pedal, which has been hooked up to the Kemper as I had no other option. If I record its output to a MIDI track and view the data stream, it's corrupted all the way through the travel range - stair-steps to Hell, not a stairway... I mean, escalator to Heaven (a smooth ramp).
Because of this experience, I decided long ago, never to walk in anyone's shadow... hang on... wrong hittoon!
Starting again: I decided long ago, never to buy a pot-based pedal again if I could help it, and therefore to wait until I could afford / find a light-based one for the Kemper; I want only the "best", and by this I mean 100% reliable in the long term, for my beloved beastie. Not able to afford it yet, but I figured I'd put it out there in the hope I'll be able to get some idea of what I'd be up for dollar-wise, and also just to see if indeed there are any decent options.
As I said, the Digitech's 20 years old, so I figure the technology's obviously not going to be cutting-edge these days. Any thoughts will be savoured and very-much appreciated, fellow Kemperites!

@Monkey_Man
Yes, you are right! The old Digitech were quite good! I have had a GSP 2001 Digitech Artist Preamp with this Foot Controler and a Mesa Boogie Fifty-Fifty as amp 20 years ago.
That was the best combination I had in the past til it was stolen.
That was a good time of Digitech! -
Ha! I had the GSP 2101 with the AX7 toobs in it, Kulle.
Do you know if that pedal board used light / laser-based sensors for its pedal?

The GSP 2101 got Tubes? I don't remember. Or was there an Amp-Version?
If the FC got laser or a gearweel I don't know. I remember it was sensitiv and steady.
This solution with this speakers were quite amazing at that time. Not to heavy, not to big, not to expensive but with a reasonable tone. -
Oh yes! I remember now. It got tubes. Was the main-argument at that time to buy it!
-
Exactly. It was the combination of digital and AX7 that set it apart.
Beefy unit, that; I loved the sound!
-
Very interesting! I used only the original tubes.
The theft was at that time a bitter catastrophe for me. -
You poor fella.
So sorry to hear that, Kulle.

I know it's new but has anyone been able to try this yet?

Look leagues above any of korg's previous pedals and the dimensions aren't massive. I prefer the feel of volume pedals to the classic wah feel. So I'm considering this or the VPJR as my expression.

For Kemper?
Look at impedance! -
For Kemper?
Look at impedance! But I wouldn't use the volume side of it, it has a separate TRS expression jack, that has nothing to do with the impedance of the input and output jacks?

@rickycooksie
I don't know the detailed funktion of it but you need a high output. Like BOSS FV-500 these pedals are created for guitars and Kemper. The other are more for keyboards. -
Is this PROEL expression pedal going to work with the Profiler or is this strictly "Keyboard pedal"?
Details of the pedal can be found after clicking on the image:[Blocked Image: http://www.proel.com/image/cache/data/proel/GF16L.0-350x350.jpg]
The Golden Feet Series Expression Pedal, features a 20k Ohm potentiometer allowing a precise volume regulation for keyboards and digital/stage pianos. It is equipped with 2 mt cable length, terminated with ø 6,3 mm standard mono moulded Gold plated jack male plug, for connection to the volume or expression output of the keyboard. -
I have never seen it before but in my point of view it should work cause it gets a high output.
-
No, it will not work. It has a Mono plug on it. It is not an Expression pedal.
Expression pedals use TRS "stereo" cables.
