I'd love that

Would be great!

Like the idea!
Question: Is there an effect that take away the attack of a note like you were holding the volume down and then swelling into the note?

Yes please!

I'd say an ADSR

i think the only way they could do this is like a looping function ,since its audio you cant create notes from nothing , grabbing a sample of the audio maybe a second or so then looping it over and over , which in my experience makes a glitch everytime the loop repeats . -
JHerc: Algorithms compensate for any glitching. The EHX Freeze and Superego pedals do it just fine, there may be others on the market I'm not aware of.

+1 for a Freeze/Shimmer/or similar effect.
+100 if it is like the other truly unique effects in the Kemper, and offers additional sounds that other gear cannot do. I really like the things that CK included that are unlike anything else

I'm a bit on the fence about the need for something like this. If I set my output levels correctly and position myself near my speakers, I can pretty much get a chord to sustain for as long as I could practically think of a use for it. I couldn't find a use for the hold function on my dear departed GT-8 either for the same reason.
Eagerly waiting for a looper though. It would be kind of cool if the loop would also work on a momentary basis, i.e. step on a pedal to start the loop, then when you take your foot off, it deactivates.

Isn't the freeze function supposed to create a steady background on which you play other notes?

+1
I'd love some ADSR like effect, or a sustainer effect like the one found in the Moog guitar.

+1 on the freeze feature
as a work around for now I have a button on my foot controller that will set the reverb time to a very large value. Then I turn off the send to the reverb block so notes that I play over the droning pad sound don't get the cave treatment. When you want the pad to stop I press the same button again and it goes back to the normal short reverb time. This allows for swell effects and layering thing on top of each other one note at a time if desired. Using a liquid foot controller.
works for now but not as elegant as a true freeze feature would be.
Hope it shows up in a future release. -

I know this has been requested in the past, but want to bring it back up....
Freeze Feature:
Be able to have the KPA "freeze" and hold the sound that has just been played, creating a layer/pad type of effect.
Would be great to have it controllable via CC commands so it can work for both remote and non-remote users.I've attached a link to a video below showing an example.
In my current setup I'm adjusting the Reverb time to the maximum value via CC, and also have the send to the reverb block turn off, again via CC. (The video says I'm adjusting the DLY time and not the RVB time, error on my part with the video text)
That way I don't have to manually remember to turn the send off, and my next phrase doesn't go into the CAVE......
The next button press sets the reverb time back to normal, and turns on the send to the reverb block...Having a foot controller than can send multiple commands/messages with a single press makes this possible today...
thanks,
