I'm pleased with the new diatonic pitch shifter. I'd like it extended to include a delay to the shifted notes similar to what you can do with the Eventide pitch factor. Anyone?
Delayed pitch shifted notes.

Yes please! I've been tempted to pick up a Digitech Timebender (may still do it anyway, should have never sold it) but would be nice to have it in the KPA especially since the Timebender isn't MIDI controllable.

I'd also like this.

+1 But is this forum a candy store?

No, this forum is not a candy store - if it was, imagine all the nose prints that would be on the display case window
But, we are encouraged to suggest new features.

Its a great forum, and Im realy enjoying my Kemper profiler. Thumb up for all the new upgrades.

+1 its a great feature on the pitch factor. Opens up a whole new world of effects.

+11 for delayed pitch shift!

I would love to hear some remarquable recording with delay on a pitch shifter.
Any famous band using it? -
I'm not sure if we talk about the same kind of effect, but when I think of delayed pitch shifter sounds, Steve Vai is the first who comes to my mind. Ballerina 12/24 from the album Passion and Warfare is a perfect example of what you can do with a pitch shifter which is capable of delaying single notes. I think this is one of the albums (after David Lee Roth's Skyscraper) that made the Eventide units so popular at that time.

Any famous band using it?I have no interest in sounding like any specific band and can't speak for anyone else...I used to own a DigiTech Timebender and sorely miss it. In fact its unique enough I'll likely pick one up again at some point for my aux board which I supplement the KPA with as it does more than just simple pitch shifted delay. If you are interested in hearing why folks would want such an effect, visit http://timebenderdelay.com and listen to the clips. Certainly more something that caters to a niche rather than the masses, but very cool to have on tap.

If my last post wasn't "mainstream" enough, here are some pro recordings using pitch shifted delay.
The Edge - he uses the effect all the time but it typically gets mistaken for a keyboard, here's a very obvious example of pitch shifted delay on guitar, 4th of July (though there's some pretty complex parallel routing happening as well)

Again, more complex routing than the KPA offers, but we were asked for examples.

So while the KPA delivering these effects would be nice, it is not a priority for me personally anymore (and I'd suggest anyone wanting shimmer and a bunch of other Eventide style effects right now to check out the MS-70CDR).
