Awesome- a much better controller than the fcb!
Liquid foot plus two way communication including tuner!

Another video here showing the two working together. Jeffs KPA is running 2.0 something.
-
Wow... really awesome...
But also quite expensive...
-
Wow, I would love to get LF Pro+, but they are:
1. very expensive
2. even more expensive due to shipping cost and import taxes
3. waiting list with uncertain shipping time
4. no distributor in Germany/EuropeLove the software editor and the KPA integration. Great stuff!
-
Nice. Will try it tomorrow.
-
This makes me sooooo happy!!!
-
Awesome!!
I was looking at the LF systems but was nervous that Kemper may make changes that the LF wouldn't support.
Good to see KPA working with the major vendors and giving us all options. I love the flexibility that the LF provides.

two way communication? midi? i'm missing something here?
-
Kerman, two way communications is new feature in KPA. It used to just listen or receive incoming midi messages. Now it will send out information via the midi out connector. In the video this is how the LF+ is self learning the patch information. Pretty cool integration and should save a lot of time programming.

Joptune, I still do not get it. Neither the reference manual nor the 2.0 Addendum state the two way communication is enabled. Can someone confirm that this feature is available in this release?
Thanks

Yes. Confirmed. Works fine. -
That's what I'm talking about, I'm developing a editor, so guys, TWO WAY MIDI was on 1.8... but it hanged my kemper lot of times... it means that this is fixed? Why if it's fixed does not appear on the manual or changelog??? I'm a little pissed off with Kemper because they didn't help me with the editor, just short answers like, "it's in the manual", "it's not working, on 2.0 will be fixed", ...and now I see that a foot controller was helped to improve the two way midi... Thanks kemper for working only with big fishes...i'm reconsidering doing more stuff here..
-
And about the exchange 2.0..maybe I do it, I was concerning about Kemper with me doing an alternative upgraded version of the exchange, but now.. I really don't care you know?
-
Anyone got a LF+ and can monitor the midi communication, I'd be interested in the hardware handshake and how tuner/tap tempo is displayed.

Because the "hang" was already fixed in 1.8.2, it didn't appear in the changelog for 2.0. It was backported to the 1.8.2 release which wasn't clear at the time you've got your answer.Everything you actually need is in the document, check the latest revision. There is nothing more, yet.
The additional functions you're seeing with the LF+ and the UnO for Kemper are things that have been still in development in the last days, and still are undergoing changes.

does two way communication require 2 midi cables ? Educate me....

The short answer: yes.If you look at either your pedal or the KPA, you'll notice that the midi ports are labeled either: "IN", "OUT" or "THRU". Before 2.0 you could only connect from the "OUT" of your midi pedal to the "IN" of the KPA, as the communication was only "one way" (from the midi pedal to the KPA). Now, with the advent of 2.0, the KPA can send information from it's "OUT" back to the midi footpedal....hence: 2-way communication.
-
Okay, so you need 2 midi cables, IN & OUT.
Whenever the KFC comes out, it will use one ethernet cable for bi-directional communication, right?
-
Is the 2 way communication generic? For example would it work with my Ground Control Pro?

My guess is the Kemper company would be less of an issue than the probability that one or more rig creator would consider their international copyright to be violated if a rig they created ended up on a commercial site, especially if it was put there by the site owner.
I imagine you have already thought about all that, but, If you decide to add your own Rig Exchange, you wouldn't want to unilaterally populate it with rigs you have downloaded. No one has given anyone other than the Kemper company the permission to publish their creative works on the web. If you were to post all those rigs into your own commercial website, that wouldn't fall under the fair use agreement the rig creators have with Kemper, or what downloaders agree to, everytime they log into the Kemper exchange.
