- The Profiler Model referred to in this thread is ...
- ☑️ Profiler Player
It's not entirely clear to me, but it seems like the player only support MIDI IN, but not MIDI OUT.
Any chance of supporting that?

Pinging this, I saw some questions about it on Facebook and I still don't know the answer.
The Player has no MIDI send functionality other than sending MIDI clock, when its USB MIDI host. The Player's Main Manual is a good srouce of information.

Just to clarify, are you saying it doesn’t have midi out functionality because it isn’t programmed that way or it can’t have midi out functionality because the hardware won’t allow it?
I have zero doubt it could send MIDI.
The absence of DIN jacks means it'd have to be via USB. Repurposing one of the TRS jacks is possible, but doubtful.
Despite using a 5 pin connector, MIDI has only ever used 3 pins. The other two were for expansion, which never materialized.
Yes: the USB host port on *all* Profiler models is capable of receiving as well as transmitting MIDI.
(note/ for example: 2 way MIDI traffic is used by some external MIDI controllers to be able to display the selected rig-name... this works on Player too)
The obvious big advantage of a USB host port is that a external MIDI controller can be connected with a single cable (which carries MIDI in, MIDI out, *and* power!) This is far more convenient and superior than using two bulky big DIN connectors and a separate d.c. power plug for those devices.

So as-is, the Player can transmit MIDI today? I ask because I was told otherwise (or misunderstood).
