Naming a save effect in local library

Hi....have two saved EQ's with different settings in my local library. I cannot figure out how to name them. It has to be simple.

select the Preset you want to (re)name,
on the far right (!), click on the name of the Preset,
rename

Thanks Don. I tried multiple things including that but let me look at it one more time. It seemed so basic.

I tried to edit that name. Here is what happens when I try.

- The name is on the far right is not editable. Right or double click.

- If I highlight the line and right click. No option to rename.

- No right click option to edit name on the eq itself.

- The name field on the left does not appear to be editable in order to type something in.

Looked in other buttons etc. not seeing the option. Not a show stopper I would just like to keep them organized as they grow in amount.

Maybe something to do with yours having no name to begin with. When you go to click on the blank name, you need to make sure to click far enough over to the right, where the name would show if it existed. If you just click the "Name" header, it doesn't select the editable name. When selected for editing ot should look like this. Then you should be able to edit and save.

The amp - rig is in my local library. I saved the EQ to my presets > local library. It was the way I saved the presets. I jam away on amps direct to a cab so don't use a lot of the features and or do things like assign a rig a blank. Thx for the reply.

So if you click further to the right where the name would be, do you get the edit box? Works here even with a blank preset name. I just aded the screenshot to show where the edit box is.

Looking closer, RM won't let you clear the name to begin with It needs to be at least 1 character or it just reverts to whatever it was. I'm guessing that however you managed to create the EQ's with no name, that is probably the problem.

Maybe try editing the name of a preset in Local Library that already has a name to see if it's really working. If that works, you may need to recreate your EQ's saving them properly with a name as you create them.

I just tried it to make sure it works. I first saved a preset (a compressor in this case) directly on the Kemper giving it no name as I saved it. I could see it in the My Profiler section of RM. I copied that to the Local Library and it is there with no name as in your screen shots. Then I can click the right area beside "Name' and edit the name. Nothing to save, it just keeps the new name. From there I can edit the name however I want, except I can't make it blank again in RM. So, it seems to be working normally here.

Don called it. User error...."far right" does not mean less than 50% way there smh. I need an assistant reading instructions.
