Anyone tried this? Are the imprints any use with an FRFR speaker? I am aware that the cabinet form will affect the sound but wonder how close an FRFR in a neutral cab will be...

Yes I've tried it on a XiTone MBritt powered 1x12, and on a DXR10.
Yes you can hear a difference between imprints.
No they don't all sound bad.
No I don't think they can faithfully represent the intended speaker voice.

Thanks for the input.

I think the answer will always be - its not how its intended they are to be used but you may get a reasonable sound.
So worth a try but don't buy gear to make this a solution as you may not like it.
I suspect the profiled cabs will always sound more accurate/better through FRFR.

imprints will only sound authentic when you use a Kemper Kone speaker because that is the speaker that was used as a reference during the creation process of the imprints.

Thanks. I understand this but wondered if there was any point in playing round with it.
It doesn't matter, end of the month I will order a Power Kabinet.

Always worth playing around and it will give a different sound. Its pure guess work whether you will like it and partially depends on the FRFR itself

The Speaker Imprints are combined with a sound optimization for the KEMEPR Kone and therefor sound-wise not compatible with any other chassis.
