I have the same popping/cutting out issue on latest update as well. went back to 5.7.4 and no issues.

Something very strange going on ... different problems for different people
I was fine on 5.7.5 but 5.7.6 is popping and dropping outAll changes of sample rate are accurately reflected on my interface.
my other KPA (in the analogue domain) is behaving as normal

Ha, when i disconnect cable from KPA SPDIF IN my interface sync properly but massive dropouts.
It looks like KPA is trying to sync to interface (SPDIF Slave mode) when SPDIF IN is connected . When KPA recive 44.1 kHz from SPDIF IN it cannot switch to other FS.Are you testing such feature guys? It would be fantastic to have slave mode.
EDIT: Now I cannot sync correctly withou dropouts with both cables connected.

I have just tested again. I started without updating to the latest Beta (so I was running 5.7.5.14419B). Everything appeared to be running fine at 44.1K. Then I changed the KPA to another sample rate. In allcases I either got no audio or garbled audio. In every case when I manually changed the sample rate on my Focusrite MixControl to match the KPA it immediately turned back to 44.1k even though sync source was SPDIF.
I then upgraded to the new 5.7.6.14438B and tried the same tests. In all case I got the same result. Nothing would make the Focusrite change to match the KPA rate. I even tried Damien's suggestion of unplugging the SPDIF In on the KPA but that didn't make any difference.
Then I realised I was being an idio and my Logic project sample rate must be dictating the sample rate for the Focusrite. SO I changed it to match the same sample rate as the KPA. Immediately the Focusrite changed to show the same sample rate as the Project and the KPA and I got lovely clean audi! . Eureka I thought. Then about 5 seconds later the signal started cutting out at regular intervals. I tried various sample rates and in every case the signal cuts out periodical at regular intervals. Not licks and pops but total loss of signal and the Focusrite Sync Status changes from Locked to No Lock for a second or so then starts working again.

Glad to have found this thread. I juuust tried using S/PDIF for the first time and was pretty let down haha.
How do I revert to firmware? Never done that. Or I’ll just wait for the next one.

In Rig Manager under Tools: 'Revert Os to Release version...' If you don't see it there, in preferences try checking the 'Include Beta Test Releases' (worked for me)
That said, if you aren't desperate to use S/PDIF then I'd hang around until 'Head Office ' sort this one out. Reverting to the latest Release 5.7.4 presumably skips the 5.7.5 loop volume fix! 5.7.6 seems to be pretty stable in ht e analogue realm.
When it works, and it has, S/PDIF is fine.

Hm. I'm seeing the same SPDIF issue as above with 5.7.6 (updated via Rig Manager, double checked that it was 5.7.6, just to make sure.) Sounds like exactly the same behavior as far as I can tell. Kemper set to put out 44.1, interface is reporting that it's receiving 192. And the major crackling sound.
Same problem here with 5.7.6.14438B. First there where short failures in sound
later completly loss of the signal.

5.7.6 beta is an SPDIF train wreck for me. Will not hold a lock to my RME i/f. Back to 5.7.4 - everything is fine.
-
I'm getting the issues with clicks and pops on SPDIF as well - on both 5.7.5 AND the new 5.7.6 Beta.
Happens at anything above 48kHZ, which is annoying, as using 48kHZ sounds rubbish!

Was exactly the same for me, 5.7.5 seemed fine - 5.7.6 killed my spdif.

Then please check out our latest 5.7.7 public beta.

Hi Burkhard,
with version 5.7.7 on my soundsystem (saffire pro 24) the problem is gone.
Thanks!
-
Looking good so far. Thanks so much!!
-
All good here (all clock settings) - Thanks to Burkhard and 'Team Kemper' for this quick resolution. Skål!
-
5.7.7 working good here !
-
Thanks guys! 5.7.7 is working as intended so far.
-
5.7.7 working fine here. It's a keeper! Thanks guys.
-
5.7.7 working good here too. Thanks!

I've just gone from an earlier version (apologies, I cannot remember which!) to the new 5.7.7
The version I had before was 2 or 3 releases back - I normally stay up to date but I'd noticed folks having SPDIF issues and did not update. My new version is actually giving me a few pops. No other settings have changed and I'm normally pop / click free. It is very, very intermittent as in 'one every 20 mins or so'. Also lost SPDIF sync twice now in the hour or so I've been playing.
I'm using the Kemper at 48KHz into a Focusrite Clarrett 4pre.
