1. Download the "JMP50 1976 CRANKED" profile by NIELS from the Rig Exchange
2. Kick a Overdrive Pedal such as Boss SD-1 or Tubescreamer in front of the Kemper
3. You now have a better sound than any modded marshall that you'll come across(IMO ofc )

Thanks, will give it a go.
Thanks man.
Are you still going to keep your other thread alive? Not sure why you're splitting things up.
Don't get me wrong - I, and I'm sure many others, appreciate what you're doing, bro'.

The profile involved in this combination is a free one, so i thought that this post would fit better here.
And it depends, if i find a good commercial profile to use with my Boss SD-1, then i will post it in the original thread.
Really appreciate it also if somebody finds something useful from my posts!
Just a quick clarification, i'm using my SD-1 with Level and Tone at full and Drive at 0. Forgot to mention that in the beginning :F.
Good call, mate. Thank you for explaining.
I'm sure many will find these threads (and your posts!) useful. Personally, I've made text-file copies of most of the recommendations (maybe all of them I think) so I can try them out one day...
Thanks! Appreciate the tip!
This is really good, thanks!
I just replaced the pure booster with the treble booster to bring more highs in - seems to work very well

I played with this for about 2 hours and I dont think it needs a pedal!

Depends probably what kind of an sound you're after, a OD pedal tightens things up pretty nicely.
Im sure it does Smirre, what I was alluding to was that it sounds pretty damn sweet all by itself.
True, for a free rig it is profiled pretty professionally.
Anyone willing to do some Tone Samples?

The profile is free on RIG Exchange, check it out for yourself. No Tone Samples needed.
Thanks for the tip!
Tell me guys, what’s the trick to getting a profile that loud? It sounds incredible because it’s super loud… (Don’t get me wrong, it sounds really great,) but it sounds much better because it’s louder than other profiles…
Even when I put the amplifier section down at zero DB it’s still louder than all other profiles, wish I could figure out how to do this…
Nice profile straight into a 4×12 cabinet, good job whoever did it…
Did I mention it’s loud?!
I agree with Spike, it’s got lots of gain for me and sounds absolutely perfect through guitar cabinet with a couple EQ adjustments for my taste! Very nice
Thank you for the good feedback! Glad to hear that others are enjoying this combination too.
I think the profile itself sounds pretty good, but for me it could be way brigther still. I'm talking about something as bright as this guy is getting:
