Ok, here we go....
I've pulled my Klon Clone out of my old analog guitar rack, hooked it up in the distortion Loop and twiddled the knobs until I found it got close.
To my surprise, depending on how much gain and what kind of tone settings I used on the "Klone", my preferred overdrive/distortion model on the KPA changed. The "Mellow Klone":
Mouse, Drive 2.2. Tone 3.0, Mix 84%, Vol +0.9The "Gritty Klone":
One DS, Drive 0.0, Tone 2.9, Mix 81%, Vol -1.6The "Spanky Klone"
Plus DS, Drive 4.1, Mix 90%, Vol -2.0Since the Klon adds a little compression aswell due to the way the circuit works I've added a compressor stomp right after the OD/Dist block
with Intensity 4.2, Attack 2.8, Squash -1.5, Mix 30%, Vol +0.5IMHO the use of the additional Comp only makes sense on Amps/Rigs with lower gain settings.
All in all I would say that these presets resemble a decent 85-95% copy of my DIY Klone pedal
Let me know what you think.Cheers, René
BTW, My clean sense was set to -8.0. I've used my heavily modded PRS Tremonti SE with an 8.5k Alnico V bridge humbucker.
My reference Rig was a Mars 2203 Profile I made myself last year with medium gain and through its low input. This is great stuff! Thanks for taking the time and sharing.

Agree! Thanks for sharing!
Ever duplicate an Xotic EP Booster’s EQ?

It just came to my mind that since the Mix parameter's volume behaviour changed a few firmware versions ago, I'll probably have to revisit my suggested settings...
I'll keep you guys updated

A "tube" distortion...
And in all the distortions types a kind of "low end" knob for us, bass player...the Parallel Path feature was implemented on request by one of the busiest bass players here in Germany for exactly this purpose -> tight, clean low end with distortion on top. This way you get a controlled DI signal (use compression & EQ for example) and the color of a amp + cab

Fulltone OCD
Klon CentaurBe careful about request the OCD. There are many version of this. you can have a thread only about debate the version. Our friend the tone junkie has a good review of all the version.

It's inbelievable that no one mentiones the Okko Diablo. It's the sweetest overdrive that I ever have heard and I was sold as soon as I heard this awesome pedal. OK, it's not cheap but it delivers that smooth distorted tone where the overdrives, tube screamers etc. can't compete with in any way. Nothing of that raw painstaking screams in your ears, nothing of that squeaking sounds coming out of your cab but just that great overdrive guitar sound with that exceptionally dynamic response, very effective and musical controls, all together with preservation of the character of your guitar and a blessing for your audience and ears.
So it's obvious that I never use any distortion from the kemper but this pedal because of above reasons.OK, you can bring in that it's about medium gain overdrive, but I don't need that raw tones and besides this, not any tube screamer can achieve this tone with its parameters within kemper.
I definitely would like this kind of overdrive be ranked on number 1 of that list. On top of that: it's German technology so Kemper wouldn't have any trouble to find this unbeatable handbuilt piece of guitar gear.
Here's a picture of my pedal and here is also a link to the pedal in action (watch 1:43 - 1:50).

Check out the Kemper "Profiler Workshop Rig Pack" by Thomas Dill.
He uses the Okko Diablo into a Sovtek Mig-50H on two Profiles, PW-Lead & PW-Soft Egg & Devil. He also uses the Himmelstrutz Fetto OD into the Sovtek MIG-50...another amazing OD pedal.
Some of the best Profiles ever in that Profiler Workshop free Rig Pack.

I agree, but the JHS Morning Glory is based on the Marshall BluesBreaker pedal, so i think this pedal should be used as the reference instead (with settings allowing it to sound like the Morning glory, if needed). -

A 68' Dallas Arbiter NKT-275 Germanium Fuzz would be a super sweet addition. Out of curiosity, has anyone ever profiled one?

+1 for the Klon or Archer or any of the other Klon Klones
