10 Higain Amps and One Cab!

I love these, thanks for doing them! A couple of clips, the amps sounded darn close to each other. It'll be interesting to know which was which.

Right... this confirms my suspicion that with the same cab AND mic, every high gain amp sounds the same or if there is a difference, it is BARELY audible. In other words the cab/mic system contributes about 85% (to say the least) to the final sound. Now, I'm curious what happens with clean and mid gain/crunch sounds.
Nice job Sinmix!

I liked 1&4 the best. Of course they have to be some unobtainium boutique monsters.

I have owned and played too many amps, it was not exactly the core tone of the head that was make or break, it was how the head responded to pedals and my playing style.

Same here.
IMO, massive differences start only when we compare a class A to class A/B etc. amps. Other than that it's mostly EQ block voicing and how the amp reacts.

Interesting... Very little difference in the lead tones

The biggest revelation on the Kemper for me was importing some good IR. Then lock it and then scroll through a lot of profiles. Its amazing how the right IR will make profiles I didn't think were that good suddenly become night and day difference. You can almost lock it all the time and it will work on any amp for me.
