Hi all,
First of all, I love my Kemper. I really think it is a revolution in guitar world. I have the following question. During my last gig I found myself often on a very dark stage. I found that I had trouble using my Remote. Yes, there are a few bright leds shining down there, but I had trouble to see what is where.
Is this something that you have experienced as well? How do you cope? I am thinking of using a small light, on the other hand that looks so silly.
Remote on dark stage - what do you do?

Until yet, I did not have similar problems.
But i think there is a parameter to adjust the brightness of the LEDs. Maybe it gets better when you turn down the brightness so that you do not get dazzled (is this the correct term )

I don't use the remote but on my last pedalboard I zip tied one of those decorative led lights on it.
Not quite this but similar: Amazon.com

Whenever a new piece of equipment is added to the things that are being used onstage, it takes a while for the feet to get used to the locations of the switches.
It may help to practice the needed movements, until you no longer need to look down as often, to select the switches you need for each song.
-
I've seen people put bright tape around the switches.
-
"Glow in the dark" tape could be useful.
-
That's a great thought Paul, but I find the switches too close to not look down at the Remote while switching
-
I think it's just a case of getting used to it really.
-
I've been using it since they were first released and I still have to look. And unfortunately I don't have big feet
-
I use a light similar to this on my pedalboard... clip-on light.
I haven't tried it on the remote though.
-
Back in the MXR pedal days you had to practice your Kung Fu blind folded.
-
"When you can see without eyes" then you are ready Grasshopper!!!
-
Even in a fully lit room I still step on multiple switches like a drunk ape. I'm seriously considering going every other switch and disabling the ones in between. I only need about 3 rigs per song anyways.
Love,

Yea, a lot of people applaud the remote for it's small footprint. The problem is when others have a large footprint....
On that point I'm still shocked they don't have a built in expression pedal with the remote.

I want the Helix's form factor with the Kemper's guts and power amp...
And make it waterproof...

I may try the every other pedal thing, Cause I keep hitting the wrong switch way too often. I may just go back to my FCB1010.....UGGGG.....What a waste

Just normal hi-vis duct tape did the job for me. Can still find what I need even when the stage is almost totally dark between some songs. Simple and it works

And for €300 -
Get one of those clip-on gooseneck lights. Then you'll be able to see everything clearly.

I think this may actually help my aim.
